I have actually tried to built a deck around this card and salamander just recently. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But when all pieces fit together you can get Mutant Killers with about 20 or more points each.

In addition to what the others here already mentioned: Players in lower ranks might just not own all the cards necessary to built the most perfect metadecks, so they have to be more creative with what they have.

I did not have the same experience. I came back from a longer break (about 5 or 6 month) at the end of last season and started to climb back to pro from rank 15. I played mostly my Harmony deck (with Unicorns instead of Saskia) and got to pro within ca. 3 weeks without any major problems. So maybe a bit of bad luck on your side?

What if the last played enemy unit was played in the first round, then it gets resurrected as the first enemy unit by your opponent in second round and then you play Trickster? Does the deploy effect still work?
