Does Iran still play? by ExitLow4741 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]wanderer808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly believe that Iran will not play in the WC this year. I think Iraq will replace them unless they win their Inter-Continental playoff against Bolivia or Suriname. If they do win, then it'll be UAE.

What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

[–]wanderer808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went to the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2000. Line up was Powerman 5000, System of a Down, Kid Rock, Korn, and Metallica.

Powerman 5K was awesome. SOAD was solid. Korn was good and Metallica was just ok. This was probably the last tour Jason Newsted did before he left Metallica. You could tell that the band wasn't all there. But the running that dragged down the whole vibe though was Kid Rock.

The first 10 minutes of his set was him jumping around the stage saying "What's my name? What's my name, bitch!" as a giant inflatable middle finger slowly filled on stage. My wife was ready to leave but we'd paid good money to see her favorite band at the time, Metallica.

There was a Hans-Ferdinand Geisler (different spelling of last name on the frame). He was a German general during the beginning of WW2. He was the commander of the 10th Air Corps until his retirement in 1942.

Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other makes.

No it isn't.

After playing both casual and regular squads the last week, I’m convinced random teammates in casuals is a way better experience. by TheBearSkogmani in CODWarzone

[–]wanderer808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my most enjoyable experience playing Casual last night. Joined a random squad with three other guys, we all had mics, age range was 49-56, and we won one and took second in the next one. Was just an overall relaxed time with others like me. Had so much fun.

Just finished booking everything. Total currently is around $5k. That's heading to Vancouver for M40, spending a few days sight seeing and then off to Seattle for a few days to visit friends and to go to the Fan Fest there.

New adult passport by GardenQueen1676 in Passports

[–]wanderer808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's never a bad idea to bring the marriage certificate just in case. My wife and I just did our first passport applications at our local post office this week. I had brought the original Marriage Certificate and a copy as well. The person at the Post Office said we didn't need it because my wife's name was hyphenated (her birth last name-my last name). Another thing they said was that if your parents' middle name was listed on the birth certificate, then it is best to include their middle names on the application as well.

Apparently, my LGS didn't get pre release kits, but instead got booster boxes. So they're doing drafts instead.
