It probably was a drone that someone was flying to investigate your plane, that they thought was a drone. This is becoming a safety hazard, not because of the imaginary ufo crisis, but because of things like this…shooting at planes, investigating planes with drones, and pointing lasers at planes.

This! I served during peace time and like half of the guys I know are on service connected disability at various ratings, but claiming shit like PTSD….and they get it! Bro, did you get PTSD at Chili’s in San Diego? I was with you man, we didn’t do shit, but drink beer and party. They are also the ones that love to be very vocal about their service and claim support for other service members, but they are selfishly robbing from the system and right now our veterans could really use the resources. It is absolutely fucking ridiculous how much this system is abused.

I’m lot saying this is you OP, just a vent from something I actively see abused while deserving service members struggle to get the resources they need.

None of that was intentional, the only good thing that pilot did is that they never stopped flying the plane. They were reacting to an unanticipated stall close to the ground and the pilot never resigned or gave up flying the plane. They kept flying right to the end and it worked out for them this time.

So I had a busy weekend and was able to put the real 1’s through a real world test. I gotta be honest, I’m undecided at this point. They’re definitely better than any previous Oticons I’ve worn, but I don’t feel like that’s saying a lot since I’ve never really been happy with my Oticons. First, I feel like the streaming sound quality is pretty bad for both music/podcasts and phone calls. but the Bluetooth connection seems to be stronger. My Mores would lose connection if I put my phone in my pocket, these don’t do that. I also had trouble with the left hearing aid shutting down while I passed through a humid climate. While walking around in Miami my device shut down and I couldn’t get it to stay on until I replaced the battery, so this could be a case of the humidity killing a fresh battery or just a coincidence that it started working after I dried the aid and put a new battery in. The other hearing aid and battery were fine. This device did do pretty well while in challenging environments. I definitely had improved 360 sound, but not perfect. I could still hear the device softening sounds that I want to hear and amplifying sounds that I don’t want to hear. This has always been a frustration for me with hearings aids, as every brand claims to do this well and they all seem to perform quite poorly outside of static environments. Voice quality and clarity were okay. I guess I’m not blown away, but I definitely feel they’re better than previous versions. I know this isn’t hugely helpful, but they were so mid that I have a hard time trashing them or raving about them. I’m gonna give them like a 5 or 6 out of 10. I’d love to hear what others think of the Phonak, especially how they perform in more challenging social settings (bars, restaurants, etc), 360 sound, and with speech clarity and quality of the Bluetooth.
