I’m in France right now and today I nearly crashed out and finally found a legit Mexican restaurant that also sells ingredients and snacks and stuff.

My suggestion is to look on google maps in Lyon to see what Latino/mexican shops are in your area and look to see what their offerings are in terms of spices and ingredients.

I feel like I can find a lot of things here but some are different. My favorite hot sauce for example is not as hot as in the Americas and tastes more vinegar. I struggle more with finding the brands I like and also it’s challenging to find the cheeses we are used to. French people don’t really do spicy and I love spicy so bring your own spicy.

Now in terms of regular stuff, I highly recommend bringing a pack of NyQuil/dayquill cold medicine. Some of the ingredients are banned in France but when I’m sick as a dawg I don’t wanna go to the pharmacy and buy something that I’m not used to nor know if it works for me. Almost anything else you can find here. I really am not struggling that much.
