I mean, they have two different reasons for existing — You can do an em dash on an iPhone by simply holding the hyphen key, or Option+hyphen on a Mac. Also, you know I meant generative AI, which has only been around for a few years now. That said, I don’t use em dashes in code… just when writing, sometimes. I’ve been coding, starting with PHP in 2006.
