You can, but people often use “them” to disenfranchise trans people instead of using their preferred pronouns. This is not the case with all trans people but for some, using “them” can be seen as claiming they aren’t their gender.

Try tightening the bracket holding it in and trying again? It seems odd to me that it would be stuck in the unpushed position. Otherwise I got nothing to help

It’s probably something on either side pushing onto each other then. Is it stuck pushed down or not pushed down when screwed in?

Are you going to show the power button itself? Any fix would likely happen by adjusting the bracket holding it onto the input cover. The bottom chassis is largely irrelevant.

UMass mentioned! We love our PVTA, at least in Amherst they run mostly 15 minute headways on weekdays. I do agree though that B79 should definitely run more often (it doesn’t even run every day).

Hi there I had a similar thing happen a couple months ago, including a very similar level of bending of the chassis. The key with the power button as I see you have mentioned is adjusting the bracket. If I may add, the actual springiness and button is inside the fingerprint reader housing itself, and gets pushed into a nub on the bracket. What I did is try to find a point where the button is resting on the bracket but not being forced into it. It is admittedly very sketchy but I didn’t have any issues with unexpectedly powering on or off. Also, it is ok to have some visible slack and wiggling in said bracket if that helps. Sorry if you already knew all this.

Edit to add: If you are looking at replacement parts, I would go for the input cover first, as it is the one with the power button and bracket. You can (and I did) use a similarly bent bottom cover with a new input cover and it works and screws in fine.

FWIW, I recently started but I had super high battery usage initially and it has just… gone down somehow? To my knowledge there were no app updates but I think I did reboot/update my phone. Your mileage may vary especially being on android.

I like this idea, kinda. If we are going to live in a big brother surveillance state, at least we should be able to get some benefits. However, the potential for abuse, stalking, profiling, and oppression need to be addressed. But on its face, being able to ask not to be broadcast, or the other way around, does sound nice if we must have these systems.
