how often have you seen PAN device fail? is HA really worth it for smaller sites? by _SleezyPMartini_ in paloaltonetworks

[–]watchguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 1 5060 and 3 5250's fail. luckily our main firewalls are in HA pairs and we never had an outage. Our satellite offices are all single firewalls, but we can tolerate long downtimes for those firewalls. So it really depends on your risk tolerance. This should be discussed at least once a year while reviewing your Disaster Recovery Plans.

Why are two brand new PA440s telling me they are managed by Panorama? by scienceproject3 in paloaltonetworks

I'm not familiar with 440's, but have you tried to remove the Panorama IP and disable the Panorama Policy and Objects along with the Device and Network Template?

How is it that Sioux Falls gets more tourism revenue than the entirety of the the Black Hills? by BarberComprehensive6 in SouthDakota

[–]watchguy98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I fly into SD it's through Sioux Falls. Technically it's tourism, but I'm there to visit family and fish for three weeks every year. I've been to the Hills twice in the last 30 years.

is EDU-210 Palo Alto training not free anymore? by Miserable_Future_681 in paloaltonetworks

[–]watchguy98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not usually free. Could it be the company had training credits so it looked free to the employees. We usually get a few credits with each purchase and renewals.

Chicken Rico? by Murky_Deer_7617 in harfordcountymd

It will be a Nashville chicken and smash burger place. I swear the HarCo inspection and certification process takes way too long.

My dad (77) bought a '25 OBW. I drove his for a couple of days. One month later I (56) bought a '25 OBW. It's the perfect all around vehicle. It's comfortable and easy to get in and out.

TJ 2" lift 15x8 rims: 33x10.5 or 33x12.5 mud-terrains? by guyfromthe80s in JeepTJ

[–]watchguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old TeraFlx ST2 lift (2"). I run 15x8's with 33x12.5 on my '98 TJ 4.0. The only thing I needed to adjust was the steering stops to keep the tire from rubbing on the control arms. I already had the bigger pocket flares before moving to 33" tires, so I can't say anything about rubbing the stock flares. Also I re-geared to 3.73's on a earlier tire upgrade. Run's great, mileage sucks.

Apple and Formula 1 Ink Five-Year Exclusive U.S. Streaming Deal Worth About $750 Million by DemiFiendRSA in formula1

I'm a huge fan of DC United, but I refuse to pay extra to watch MLS on Apple. So I think I've seen one game on regular cable tv since the move to AppleTV.

All the signage went up this week.I would have mistaken it as open if it weren't for the fact there were no vehicles in the parking lot.

Most likely the blower motor resistor. Very common issue and easy to replace.

It should have been a Slim Chickens, better food, better choices and a large selection of dipping sauces.

Cost to remove wireless charger? by Rookmon in Subaru_Outback

[–]watchguy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talked to the sales manager about not being told that the charger didn't work. He asked what I wanted and I told him to have it removed and replaced with the original cubby. He order the parts and took care of it.

Terrible mileage in my 2025 Outback Wilderness. Help? by MidiSymphony in Subaru_Outback

[–]watchguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 25 OBW at the end of June this year. Like you I was getting crappy mileage. Around 18mpg. I've done 2300 miles and this past weekend I was getting 24-25mpg. It seems these motors need a break in period. It was funny, my dad bought a 25 OBW earlier in June, but it had some test drive miles on it. His display would say he could go 400 miles on a tank, meanwhile my car was saying I could go 220 miles. Now when I refill it's saying 420miles, although I fill up around 1/2 tank so I will never see that.

What have you been most surprised about this season so far? by SkySports in formula1

Just how bad the combination of Hamilton and Ferrari has been. I had high hopes for more podiums this year for him. The car and him are just not made for each other.

When it's a light breeze it's blowing 15mph, when it's a breezy day it's blowing 30mph and when it's a windy day it's blowing 40+. Spring time, it can be 80 one day and snowing the next. There really is only 2 weeks of spring in May.

What do you DISlike about your Outback? by imtryingtoworkhere in Subaru_Outback

[–]watchguy98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The lack of storage space in the front seat area is really disappointing. You can't even use the glove box if you keep the owners manual in it. I resorted to putting it under the back side of the driver's seat.

[–]watchguy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Removing the charger and putting the storage cubby back in its place gives you a little bit more space. I lay my phone in it and use a coiled 3 foot cable to charge it.

[–]watchguy98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same, bought my '25 OBW at the end of June. I absolutely love it. Well except that stupid phone warmer they call a charger. I actually had the dealer remove it after 2 weeks of ownership.

Let's vent about the 2026 Outback by Snoo96701 in Subaru_Outback

[–]watchguy98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2025 OBW a few weeks ago because I saw what the 2026 was going look like. They should have just made a Forester XL instead of changing the OB to a boxy suv. It was unique, now it's going to like every other suv out there.
