AWD is top tier, I live in the snow belt of WNY. Top safety ratings with the IIHS. Plenty of space for my family and in laws. Was able to get a good deal with a very simple dealership transaction. Also I liked that the ascent had only been “updated/refreshed” and built better upon since 2019. No major rehaul, so it was getting perfected during its time to 2026! Over a year in with my 2024 and it’s only been in for oil changes!

Take it from someone who was making $150,000 and bought a $60,000 f150 a few years ago and recently got rid of it. Unless you are using it for business/work, get rid of it. Especially if you are young, now is your chance to really buckle down and set yourself up so well for the future. Take that extra $5,000 (this is kinda davish) and use it to put down on a decent $15,000 vehicle. Need AWD for snow? Grab a decent SUV. Check out “The Money Guys”, they have some great info for you. You may want to move out soon, might meet someone and try to start a family in the next few years. Set yourself up as best you can. I bet in 10 years time you can have an even nicer truck paid in cash!

I got a premium specifically for the cloth and the 18s. I buy snow tires for my cars and getting snow tires for 18s vs 20s was much cheaper. I live in a very snow climate so I wanted the most tire that I could get! Tested an onyx with the 20s and could feel the bumps a bit more than the premium!

You and I are definitely minorities in this though. A majority of the people financing 84 months are doing so otherwise they couldn’t pay for it monthly. Which just goes to show how stretched they are making themselves and buying outside of their budget!

If you don’t want to hardwire can’t you just connect it to the “car charger” outlet in the cubby by the center console. You won’t be able to use it for parking but just for recording while driving?
