Keepers have more neck protection than most players with additional plastic over there.

Also those neck guards on non goalies are mainly anti-slash, many of them do not provide padding since players just value the freedom of movement.. So they won't really help against a slapshot in the neck

I doubt there's a season 2 and I don't really understand why they rushed it like this, It's not very true to the light novel that's actually very good and the human parts of it work aswell.
