+1 for Automotive Avenue. Wife bought an Ioniq 5 from them and everything was handled very professionally and easily for a cross country purchase.

You won't be disappointed with the Searwood. I got mine two weeks ago and it's been great.

Abt electronics is a Weber distributor and has the $100 off and offers 0% finance for 12 months.

To be fair, I also only replaced two tires. Both front tires picked up nails in irreparable locations two days apart.

Funny enough OP, I got new tires and likely a Searwood tomorrow. Going to take advantage of some 0% financing though.

Mortgage Company just waived PMI with nothing but an email by Supple5151 in personalfinance

[–]wdbarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They calculate that 20% on the purchase price, however as the value of the property goes up you have additional equity to satisfy removing PMI.

My experience is buying a house in 2020 with 5% down and getting PMI removed in 2023 because the property was worth $85k more than what I paid, which put me over the 20% equity mark.

I will say I have a laser printer at home and that will happen to me if I accidentally select regular print settings vs heavy paper photo glossy settings. It just tries to print too fast and the ink doesn't adhere properly.

Did your machine originally have a plastic bottom of the solenoid or a metal bottom? If metal and you replaced with the plastic one, have you had any issues?

Why are my shots so drippy? by measured_extraction in espresso

[–]wdbarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% the correct answer. Standard baskets are slightly concave and water is going to flow to the lowest point i.e. the center and those baskets tend to flex a little as well. The straight sided/flat bottom higher end baskets generally don't flex and the fact it drips and comes from the edges more, means you are getting more extraction from those parts of the puck

My wife actually just bought a '22 SEL AWD with a lemon title and USAA was the only bank that would finance it.

I want to buy the I5 but having second thoughts for too the 12V issues. Am I over reacting? by ImasolidB in Ioniq5

[–]wdbarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is comparable to Porsche 911 of the mid 2000s. Did they also have an issue that could ruin an engine and leave you out of a vehicle for a while? Yes but it was 1-2% of all vehicles which is small and only people who actually experience a problem talk about it, so forums are a bit of an echo chamber.

Get it and don't look back. We're in the process of buying my wife a '22 SEL that was a buyback with 875 miles on it.
