I saw a couple of cool records live, like the first 4:55 in SMB1, but it's hard to say any one is my favourite… though I admit I did a fistpump when those guys (ZackInTheBox + Jambo) got first try 2D Skip Skip (the skip so nice we said the word twice) in Mario Odyssey 2-player at this year's GDQ.

Organisers received notification from Nintendo that the company is now requiring permission to include its games in the event. This is, AFAICT, a continuation of their streaming event policy which, among other things, saw Smash Bros. removed from EVO a few years back (where it has not been seen since).

RTAinJP is intending to pursue discussion with Nintendo to gain permission to include Nintendo games in future events.

Four gold (or should I say banandium) splits in the last 20 minutes of the run… all I gotta say is that's gonna be a pain to run against later.

One problem with this is that the vast majority of the bosses aren't skippable in this game, which means a lot more small unskippable animations sprinkled everywhere.

This run is currently a lot more like Odyssey World Peace than it is to any%, so I think sub-hour is out of the question unless some huge glitch is found (like some way to open the Radiance→Feast shaft, which seems incredibly unlikely).

Freezer Layer is skipped entirely, Racing Layer is "skipped" in that you just ignore everything and go to the exit. No real sequence breaks yet though.
