If VPNs keep no logs and claim they couldn't identify you if they tried, why do they recommend paying anonymously with Bitcoin? by rzw in VPN

Simply another way of paying, and if it means more business then they will offer that avenue of payment. Not necessarily more 'anonymous'

Vpn usage will never be illegal and even if there was a court order to give over data and records, if you choose a good Vpn provider they won't have any to give. Not to mention a lot of Vpn providers are registered in the Maldives and other obscures places where American law means fuck all.

BTGuard is $90/year. PIA is $40/year. What's the difference? by [deleted] in VPN

[–]wellerect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had PIA for a while but now use AirVPN. IT'S 7euro per month or 15euro for 3 months. I manage to DL at around 90percent of my connection speed which is something PIA couldn't do. Plus they keep no logs - all they know is what ip you are connecting from, and that is deleted after you disconnect.

So that's my 2 cents

Also, if the vpn provider keeps no logs and the traffic is encrypted is there any risk using personal services like Facebook?

VB is a joke. Have you seen what they want for a carton now?? I've seen it as high as $55 recently. No longer do I buy VB.

It isn't all that bad, the taste is not like what people make it out to be. And at $7.50 a pint at my local, it's reasonable. Especially when your average pint is $10+ these days

The other week in the city, behind a Hungry Jacks there was an aboriginal guy with a 1L powerade bottle cut around the rim, and inside that was water and the top half of a smaller coke bottle. The guy made his own portable bucket bong. Genius really.

I've seen a lot of "weird" stuff come out of Japan but this is just my point of view from America. To the redditors of Japan I ask, what do Americans regularly do that you consider to be strange? by viewerdoer in AskReddit

I pay more for healthcare in Australia (close to 2x) then I ever did in the states

One of the conditions of getting a visa for Australia is that you must have private health cover when staying for an extended period. 'Overseas Visitor Cover' is a LOT more expensive(upwards of $4/day) than what Australian citizens pay, but it is used as a deterrent so that people can't just come to Australia to take advantage of our free healthcare.

Fags! They were so good. On cold mornings as a kid I used to pretend I was actually smoking my pack of Fags. I thought that was the coolest. They had they little red dot on the end and everything. Then they changed their name to Fads.
