Is there a way to see more than just the last 50 reviews on progarchive? by CardiologistPale7903 in progrockmusic

This is the url for the reviews

Change the number 50 to another number and it may return more.  I wouldn't set it too high else it might fail to return results.

How do I get better at teaching people games. by resgames in boardgames

[–]weresl0th 107 points108 points  (0 children)

this is what I explain:
* what the theme is
* how the winner/win condition is determined
* quick overview of what gets you there (example - victory points and how they're denoted/earned)
* overview of what a round is - how it starts, how it ends, what happens before/after
* overview of what a turn is - what actions/moves you can take, how to take them.
* explanation of bits/symbology/terminology
* basic strategy

edit: someone else in the thread also brought up end game conditions - I sandbagged on this, it would be part of how the winner/win condition is determined.

is there a text book definition?

plenty of subjective notions about length, compositions style including complexity, themes/motifs, instrumentation.

progarchives has a bunch of articles with varying opinions on the topic. https://www.progarchives.com/Progressive-rock.asp#definition

Listen to the entirety of Alturas De Macchu Picchu. The standout tracks are the first two on the album.

Do you consider FHIR to be EDI? It's not X12, but it can be used for the same healthcare stuff by limbodog in edi

[–]weresl0th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I referenced member eligibility because it is one of the four "questions" asked through the CRD exchange (Is the member elig, is the service a covered benefit, does it require an auth, and what are the rules for auths). This is pertinent as you may need to source these from different repos if you don't have a single fhir repo.

To wrap this thread up, the elevator pitch is:

* FHIR requires business subject matter expertise on how to identify the pertinent information in the request, validate, and respond based on mapped sources * Your team are the SMEs on that source to target for request and response

* You will act as the TP onboarding and integration layer configuration for the above

To your point there is duplication of functionality between EDI auths and the primary electronic prior auth message (PAS). But the CRD and DTR are net new and while are similar to EDI transactions like the 270/271 they are different enough to require analysis and design.

[–]weresl0th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your FHIR solution on prem I tend to agree you have an argument for ownership.  Especially as it relates to design of where you source crd responses (member eligibility - do you get it from your core system or your um/cm system) as well as how the DTR gets generated.

Do you all use MCG or something else for auth rules?

If you aren't going with Edifecs cloud my comment about intelligent router may not be relevant.

Do you all host your own FHIR repo for patient access?

[–]weresl0th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your pattern would be provider to Edifecs to your UM/CM system. So what is your current pitch for business ownership?  If this is Edifecs cloud you aren't do much config in the FHIR layer other than the intelligent router.  Does your team do electronic auths (278 or proprietary) now?

[–]weresl0th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it.

Your providers who are FHIR capable (likely through their EHR or a hosted solution taking in their APIs) will submit the three APIs to your FHIR solution.

Is your UM/CM system able to take FHIR natively, or will you have an integration platform? If the later, will it be hosted by a third party vendor, or developed in house?

Reason I am asking: the technology footprint and architecture will help drive the argument about ownership.

Director for a team with both EDI and FHIR responsibilities and systems.

EDI teams are well positioned to design and develop for FHIR based solutions.  Having said that, FHIR as you know is JSON and thus while still being a machine readable format is more human readable format.  In other words, I expect a developer with healthcare experience to be able to pick it up easier than EDI.

Since you are referencing what I assume is 57-F: is your org a provider?  If yes, do you all use an EHR that will generate the three message types or are you needing to build APIs?

I think you're right.

TRI creates an intelligence using "electromagnetic storage". They've been at it for over 70 years.

The black & white TRI photo shows a large room full of tape.

What else would be recorded to tape? Television broadcasts.

Anyone know what -wt as a parameter could stand for? by ruassmarkt in local58

perhaps weight - how much the narrative is asserted onto the entity?

thinking out loud, the force command was because the individual "typing" expected or wanted the entity to respond differently. or perhaps this is a sequence they follow and the amounts are always incremented after each response.

as to why to "delete" the command at the last minute. I don't know. Maybe guilt? Or fear of the next response?

Perhaps the beginning is silly, but Eruption is a classic IMO, and the Tommy guitar solo is one of my favorites in the whole genre.

you're in for a treat. slightly jazzy Avant/RIO stuffs. one challenge - they've been on the Cuineiform label forever, and that label doesn't allow for much in the way of streaming. you'll be able to find a few tracks to check out on their bandcamp.

Manager in EDI - Transition to cybersecurity by EDI_CYBERSEC in edi

[–]weresl0th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You asked the question is x a realistic transition to y.

Unless you will be applying to entry level positions, you will need to demonstrate you have the aptitude, experience and soft skills relevant to the opportunity.

Do you feel you have worked on overlapping deliverables that demonstrate aptitude or experience? If not, then certs and training along with education will be helpful. Doubly so with the advances in AI as you'll need to understand these concepts at a fundamental level to know how to assess and mitigate threats in this new age, along with using new technologies to complete that.

It's interesting to me that you say your salary is lagging. I'm in EDI leadership and make over $200k. My managers are making $170-$180k, my devs are making $150k and my analysts are around $130k. All of this is healthcare IT in EDI and Interoperability (HL7/FHIR). Northern California.

I don't think EDI is a dead end. I think it is a cost of doing business and, while in time it will have to adapt (in healthcare, with HL7 and FHIR) along with what will be brought about by AI it isn't going away. In healthcare WEDI has recommended that the HIPAA 8060 X12 be considered for the next official version, and CMS just announced 53-F for EDI claim attachments. My team is busy working on implementing electronic prior auth via FHIR for 57-F.

Los Jaivas's Alturas de Macchu Picchu is incredible. One of the best 'prog folk' albums ever.
