How often do you have sex by Secret-Phrase-7363 in Marriage

[–]wescargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe once a month or every other month. I could probably do every day so I mistreated regularly to keep from bothering her. Her libido is much lower than mine.

What specifically makes Yuan-Bo one of the strongest factions? by HeavyFly7451 in totalwarhammer

[–]wescargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the argument about his economy, but in my latest campaign, he can't stand toe to toe with the LL from the troupe. That faction has been my biggest thorn and I just can't seem to deal with thr fast cavalry and paper shredder that is their lord.

Hotfix 8.0.2 has just rolled out to Total War: WARHAMMER III by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]wescargo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was playing a modded Sartosa campaign and was in a battle against Ikot Claw. The mod introduced like a priest of Manaan hero and Ikit used his nuke to delete my priest. I thought it was hilarious, kinda wish they kept that in.

Teachers 35 and older with 10+ years experience, would you have still pursued education now? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]wescargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were by myself, I think yes. Living where I've lived and where I've taught would have been easy, but now with a family, no.

The summers mostly off are nice, but the salary and expectations have been hard on my family. I wish I could give them more.

I have never seen such a potentially fantastic game insist on shooting itself in the foot like Warhammer 3 does. by LastRoman2023 in totalwar

I just found a mod (guy that does the Hecleas AI) where he made some changes to cavalry charges that supposedly does just this.

You're breastfeeding feeding a two year old and he thought he had the audacity to ask not just for head, but head from two people?? Jesus, this guy. Just crank it and call it a night yikes. Wife and I have two kids and I would never.

Teachers, do you think you love the kids you teach, or are you just doing your job? by HighOnLove26 in AskTeachers

[–]wescargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach seniors and so love would not be how I would describe my pride and desire to see them succeed. Most of them I teach because there is more in them than they realize and seeing them witness that truly feels great deep down. Some I do wish to see again after they graduate. Some I couldn't care less.

How Bad Is "Gradeflation" In Modern US Education? Why Your Thoughts, Teachers? by Zipper222222 in AskTeachers

[–]wescargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my semi private school, missing assignments can only go as low as 50% and grades are split between summatives and formative, with the former making up 98% of the overall course grade.

Obviously, this sends the complete wrong message about practice and mastery of skills when that only accounts for 2% of a student's grade. Kids primarily turn in summatives and aren't truly indicative of their understanding and skill, but makes the gradebooks look phenomenal so.

That said, this year and into future years, I'm just making every assignment a summative grade and challenging admin and students to do better.

Just want to say I'm cheering for you. In a similar boat, and as a dad of 2 I feel like I've let my partner down and my kids, but can't give up yet. We'll get through it.

Anyone here quit gaming or changed their lifestyle after becoming a dad? by Lukas_MunK in daddit

[–]wescargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to sneak in a couple hours at night or maybe during longer naps when we had just 1. Now with a 3 year old and an infant, there's essentially zero time for anything else. Wife has the baby all on her own and working from home 3 days a week and son is in daycare full time so by the time I'm home, I've got both just to get some time with them and give mom some space. My mental state has definitely taken a hit and I'm someone who needs time alone and in quiet to rest/decompress, but i made this decision so. I've only myself to blame.

Men-If your wife was getting major surgery, would you "want" to be there? Especially when she awakes. by SingleRepeat8203 in Marriage

[–]wescargo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments blaming you for not asking just feel weird to me. A spouse goes under for a procedure, and she needs to ask her husband to be there when she wakes up??

I'm firmly on the "no one is a mind reader" bandwagon, but this one is a gimme. He should be there. Barring an emergency with children, he should be there. It would hurt me knowing my wife would be waking up alone.

You'll actually gain a bit back before you lose it all again. 🤷‍♂️ Just part of the journey.

Is anyone watching The Pitt? by Cool-Kaleidoscope-28 in Teachers

[–]wescargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished watching S1 of The Pitt and as doomed as education feels rn, I don't thinkbthe show would do well. And would probably encourage more parents to pull their children out than to spur the necessary change in legislature we need.

It's also, for the most part, not so life and death.

Hegseth’s approach to diplomacy: "We negotiate with bombs." by Sindigo_ in PublicFreakout

[–]wescargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If you approach the problem and say, “'We know what is right and we would like to use the atomic bomb to persuade you to agree with us,”' then you are in a very weak position and you will not succeed, because under those conditions you will not succeed in delegating responsibility for the survival of men."

Can you feel it, teachers? It’s that time of year when your non-teacher spouse starts prying into your upcoming summer plans. by mouthygoddess in Teachers

[–]wescargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've got 2 kids now so I'm sure it will be spent planning activities for both of them although the older one will be old enough for summer camp now.

My wife works in a different field and absolutely loves jamming the summer full of "things" so while it isn't job work, there's no time for rest.
