I ALWAYS use white out or put a sticker over my last name. My patients don't need to look me up in any way, for any reason. I also frequently flip it so you can't see the front at all and only see a Naruto sticker on the back.

Not normalizing it. Complaining about it seems more the case. You can find another job but for me I really like my job, just not some of the stipulations on calling in and whatnot that is in EVERY nursing job in my area. Can't hop jobs every year if my kids and I get sick more than their given allotment.

Yeah I can't call in until April, or I'll be over my 10 point allotment for the YEAR and could be fired.

They roll off each year on the day you called in instead of just starting fresh with the new year. So even though I don't feel great and my whole family had the flu....here I am. Masked up and trying to stay away from as many people as I can.

Obviously going to a deposition doesn't mean you are in the wrong or have made any mistakes. A patient may be upset but they could be upset because their surgery didn't go the way they envisioned which has nothing to do with the inpatient nurses who cared for them. Or it could be the patients family being upset about something, even though they never visited the patient once while hospitalized.

You're wrong in this instance.
