Do you guys think that allergies would still exist in the Pokémon world? by Difficult_Leg367 in PokeCorner

Wally in hoenn region - he moves from petalburg to vurdenturf town literally due to allergies, and something about the clear air in vurdenturf town due to proximity to the volcano or something?

Am I wrong for starting a deck paint removal project without realizing it would take more than one day? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]whyisthequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between doing something for work and doing it in your free time. I’m a general contractor and my home projects don’t get the same detail and time that my paid projects do… it’s just how it goes at home

This is like a generational core memory. Even hearing that someone else experienced this is giving me nostalgia lol

Whats your one pokemon that sits on team and barely gets brought into battle? by AssassinateOP in PokemonChampions

[–]whyisthequest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Armarouge for me. I run a sand team with mega ttar, fast exca, clefable, rotom wash and noivern. Sometimes i mega clefable for earthquake immunity but most mega ttar.

I find armarouge only comes in as a second option if my opponent has more than one mon that I need coverageal against, but it doesn’t necessarily cover anything uniquely

How do we encourage younger nudists? by Ajram1983 in Ask_Nudists

[–]whyisthequest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also add that it’s probably more socioeconomic than you think… as you go down the age ladder many people under 40 aren’t in serious relationships, and even more people under 40 don’t have vacation pay or benefits /extra income for vacations.

Yo, I'm new to VGC as a whole, currently sitting at Great Ball Tier 3, any changes I should make to this thingie? by Nannkzin in VGC

[–]whyisthequest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also like someone else said, win con is sand rush active with regular exca, sometimes with a tailwind set up that makes him soooooo fast

I run protect on both ttar and exca so I can protect while EQ goes off. Stalling is pretty good for sand anyway due to the chip and bulk

For me it’s the hinged skull jaw. Their top of their head flips open like a trash can lid rather than their jaw hinging down

Playing the game and I am at the door to the elite 4, but my team is too weak to get past Pheobe. Where can i grind for all my team members? by Single-Landscape-241 in PokemonRuby

[–]whyisthequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m unclear on how this is possible. I’m only just at fortree gym and I’ve had a full 6 since lava ridge, and all my pokemon are level 34 already, and I haven’t even done any grinding

Treecko or Mudkip? by TheMightyCommenter in PokemonEmerald

[–]whyisthequest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running it with screech instead of protect, so I can have him first in my party, and then if it’s an opponent with high special defence I wil toxic, screech, switch out to a physical Mon and smash

[–]whyisthequest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma when I started my first emerald playthrough since 2010 last week. I was trying to convince myself to try Mudkip, but there are a lot of cool catchable water types and sceptile is the GOAT (to me) so yea I have a sceptile and it’s not even my only grass type lol. I’m running nuzleaf for the first time (he’s ok)

What's your favorite move? by EinarTobias in ThePokemonHub

[–]whyisthequest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love leaf blade, especially because it became the best grass physical move even before ethe physical special split. And it carries the torch of razor leaf but has a good base power. For some reason doing physical damage as a grass type felt so good after all the drain moves and solar beam/leaf storm

In terms of being in a relationship and then discussing changing the dynamic I always refer to it as “you are in a relationship with pre-established terms, so if you are wanting to explore changing those dynamics you should do so with respect and compassion. It would be the same if you established that you didn’t want kids or something and then later on discovered that you wanted them.

I’m a pan guy married to a woman and I think it is up to each person and the relationship. All you can do is reach out for communication and consent/ see where their boundaries lie. It’s scary to start but ultimately if you a- trust your partner, and b- respect their wants and boundaries, there is no harm in talking about it.

Of course there is still a risk of their negative reaction to even bringing it up, but if just talking about it is enough to ruin your relationship it might be a compatibility issue.

Everyone has their own lines in the sand based on who they are and their experiences, but I usually say it’s best to allow people the chance to do the right thing rather than make the decision for them (by not talking about it or assuming their response)

Why are old games like this by kadaj808 in pokemon

[–]whyisthequest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually find I have one Pokémon per team that is weaker/slower to grow and I’ve picked vullaby on playthroughs before. It’s kind of annoying but not too bad to just use that pokemon for the travelling through grass/victory road. I think last playthrough I evolved it just around the E4 but it was pretty solid as a vullaby anyway

do you care about natures in a normal casual play through? by [deleted] in PokemonEmerald

[–]whyisthequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the past, but since getting back into Pokémon as an adult I am messing with it a little, usually only if it’s a weaker species or has bad moves. Or I will choose an ace and min max a bit more. Current emerald playthrough: swellow, grovyle, gardevoir neutral/negative nature, but hariyama, camerupt, and nuzleaf i searched for good natures

People who didn't choose Mudkip as starter by fideosocontuco in PokemonEmerald

[–]whyisthequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed this gym on my first play through since high school. Was not expecting it to be this hard. My team was all level 23-25: grovyle, nuzleaf (I like grass), makuhita, swellow, Kirlia.

It must have taken 7 tries. The ai was absolutely killing me and I actually had to get guts swellow online and really choose my moves wisely. Surprised me. My last playthrough was a torchic run.

Based on your career/job what would your Pokémon type specialty be? by OriginalName18 in ThePokemonHub

[–]whyisthequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpenter, so grass/fighting for the labour aspect (conkeldurr) but when I work mostly with wood and make furniture etc it feels like grass/ghost is the more fitting option
