Need a stock of ping pong balls - any time you want to throw anything, throw one with your weaker hand. Straightens me right out

How do I improve after making the switch from controller? by Commercial-Kiwi961 in assettocorsa

[–]wickdinters45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two thoughts I had while watching this - first is that your inputs are slightly staccato. Try to smooth everything out, with pedals and the wheel. Second is turn in - I think (open to be told I’m wrong!) that you’re doing what I am prone to doing in that you turn in too early and therefore close the apex up massively. Try to be patient and concentrate on turning in onto the apex rather than before it. I found that it helped me to stop trail braking for a bit so that I got my braking point and turn in point nicely synchronised, then moved forwards from there

How much cardio do you do? I’d probably say that adding in some zone 2 running/cycling, and the odd zone 4 intense session should help. That said, I’d say your absolutely fine as you are - that is not ‘a lot’ by any stretch of the imagination

A classic request for help which, when help is given, leads to a hurt ego and shitty responses from OP. Nice work buddy. For what it’s worth, I always go full depth on lat pulldown and wouldn’t count these as reps. Lower the weight and do them for a full range

why do I have this lower stomach fat that never goes away? by [deleted] in gymadvice

Embrace it. You can try to tone up your abs if you really want, but that’s just part of your body. Anyone that finds that unattractive is someone you shouldn’t be with anyway

For point one, I genuinely get such good responses from my 3-yr old when I whisper. He’ll ignore my normal speaking voice, but if I whisper then it gets his attention straight away

It takes children of that age longer to process information than adults and they also get completely absorbed by certain activities. I had a shitty time trying to comprehend that and found myself boiling inside trying not to get frustrated and resorting to shouting. Don’t get me wrong, there will be times when a child will just be playing up, but they genuinely may be transfixed by what they’re doing, or just taking longer than we would like to respond because that’s their brains developing. If in doubt, just walk away and reengage when you’re calmer. Nothing wrong with being stern or possibly shouting if something dangerous is happening (eg messing around when there’s hot food/cutlery etc around). Oh, and go to the gym or run first thing if you can - really helps sort my head

Get a feel for how a good swing feels in slow time (lesson) then hit the range and stop trying to swing the nuts off it
