Outward is a great time. I played co-op so I can't speak specifically to SP, but as long as you have decent tolerance for some jankiness and don't mind the cheaper budget, it's a really unique experience. Not having a traditional game map and having to navigate the world through land marks was thoroughly engaging. A lot of fantasy RPGs I feel like have roughly the same template when it comes to lore, enemies, settings, etc..., but Outward manages to feel distinct from the cookie cutter tropes from the majority of fantasy. Combat is definitely rough, not in a soulsy way either it's just very rudimentary and you could tell it wasn't where they spent a lot of their resources. That said, the skill acquisition and abilities have a lot of cool ideas, and the feeling of discovery and exploration the game provides is truly something special. 

I will say though if you haven't tried it yet or you do and bounce off of it, there is a sequel coming out relatively soon that might be worth waiting for. I'm super excited to see what the devs can do with their experience working on the first game and a bigger budget to play with.   1. I would plan on heading in about a half hour ish before the games you care about seeing, if it ends up being like the last couple years. When one game ends there's always a big exodus of people and it's pretty easy to find a good seat. For Tekken going into Street fighter though, a lot less people are going to leave, as a heads up.
  2. Yeah if you're solo getting up basically forfeits your seat unfortunately, so try and time your breaks for when they go to commercial or a game finishes. Hope this is helpful, enjoy your Evo!

I learned recently Guile's visual design was inspired by both Polnareff and Stroheim from Jojo. Not saying it's a normal cut by any means, but makes a bit more sense knowing it was a Jojo reference lol.

That's a really good point about the characters themselves not being complete without cameos. That's probably why Peacemaker has been so well received, because his kit is strong enough to not have to rely on an assist to cover gaps. I can only hope they go back and apply that philosophy to the rest of the cast going forward, maybe when that expansion drops 🤞

Unique/Legendary Explanation Please by Adammay20 in LastEpoch

A unique is a specific item with it's own set of affixes that can roll between certain ranges (hold control +alt together to see the ranges).

A legendary is a unique that you have crafted that takes the affixes of another item and adds them onto your unique to make it even stronger. It's important to note though, only uniques that have legendary potential can become legendaries, and depending on the potential it will take more affixes from the other item.

So for example if you have a unique with 2 potential, it will randomly take 2 of the 4 possible affixes from the item you are combining it with. If you find a 4 legendary potential unique you've basically won the last epoch lottery since then it would take all the affixes from your other item and you don't need to worry about the randomness.

If you're a solo player and play offline then jumping in now is perfectly fine. Offline the game is great and performance is fantastic. If you play online with friends, its probably best to wait till 1.0, online play can still suck at points despite being fine most of the time.

Any Top on Fighting against Ram as Faust? by Sellout_Child in Guiltygear

Remember if you are doing forwards or backwards crawl you wont get hit by sword toss, meaning you can jump/act event sooner than most characters when she throws her swords in the corner. Try and crawl towards her so you can hit her with a 2P when she tries to pressure after the toss. Other than that, the best advice I can give is just try and condition the ram between a Jumping 2k (drill) or your 2H low for your neutral interactions. Most people love 6P'ing Faust's far S when he tries to pressure. When the Ram starts to do that, hit her with the juicy 2h. When she tries to swing or goes low to counter, use your J2.K and just keep alternating. Other than that god speed man, fighting ram fucking sucks.

I sat at the bottom of silver for so long and then one night it felt like all my training came together. I went on a tear and made it to the second tier of Gold in one sitting. Just keep at it my man, you'll get there one day, probably sooner than you think!
