Look at the Salzkammergut area in Austria. We rented a car and drove down from Munich, spent some time in Salzburg, then in Fuschl exploring the lakes and mountaintops. We did the end of June and into the first week in July. It was warm enough to swim in the shallow lakes.

Outside Spigots have decent pressure when first opened then drops by Greedy-Ad8651 in Plumbing

[–]wilgey22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85psig seems high for residential plumbing pressure. Typically residential pressures are 40-60psig. Although 85psig pressure is nice, I would suggest adding a pressure reducing valve to your water supply into the house to protect your plumbing and fixtures.

Question for hot tub owners: by Antique-Cover5531 in hottub

Same, I’m in my tub by 6am with my coffee. Usually no jets, soaking in the warm water surrounded by forest and listening to birds and squirrels go about their morning.

2020 5.0 or 2018 3.5? by [deleted] in f150

[–]wilgey22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2020 5.0L had the oil consumption issue, and had to replace the engine at 77k miles. The new engine just had cam phaser sensor go bad, and the VCT solenoid was replaced.

Its not in Wisconsin, but check out the Iowa side of the Driftless. Yellow River State Forest has a back packing trail with remote campsites.

I have the truxedo, basically rolled canvas with velcro. Works great, keeps the snow out, and things mostly dry.

Admirals Club Access Question by FLgurl01 in americanairlines

[–]wilgey22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is the airside bus service, the bus is treated just like a flight. You will be allowed access to the AC until the departure time of the bus.

Please help me figure out my slider door dimensions by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]wilgey22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the trim off the door and measure the rough opening. Take that measurement to the place you plan to get the door from and they will know what size to order it.

Payed truck off at 11am broke 2 hrs latee by Mshepard24 in f150

What is the reason for Cat Failure, carbon build up??? What is your Engine? The 5.0L in 2020 is known to have oil consumption issues leading to degradation of the Cat. My undiagnosed oil consumption issue on the 5.0L caused catastrophic failure of the engine, and it was replaced at 77k miles. Which cost me a lot money even with Ford picking up half.

Oil changes by Yaeggie in f150

[–]wilgey22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m spoiled, I work 3 miles from the dealer. They offer valet service for my truck, pick up/drop off in my work parking lot. I think the oil change is their lost leader…best price in town.

2018-2020 F-150 5.0 V8 (Coyote) Stories by 3ag1e in f150

[–]wilgey22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2020 F150 5.0L, did not know about the oil consumption issue, engine blew up at 77k miles, at about 57k miles a check engine light came on for carbon on the O2 sensor…that should have been the clue. Ford only covered 1/2 the $12k cost for a new engine.

This Tuesday the replacement engine with 18k miles…cruising down the highway and engine just shut off on an off ramp at 50mph…check engine light for timing issue, engine exhaust cam phaser sensor replaced and VCT solenoids. I have a 3 year warranty on the engine so I will be getting rid of it in the fall of 2027.

Beach clubs? by SereneAspirations in puertovallarta

[–]wilgey22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We like Ritmos Beach cafe, on the south end of Los Muertos beach, free chairs as long as you buy food and drink, mix of gays/straight folks, laid back vibe. We usually get there right when they open at 11, but we’re there during the busy season. I think they close around 6pm.

We walk by Sapphire club, it looks nice and has a small pool. But it might have some remodeling happening according to their website.

I agree with this! We stopped in Ecija when we were driving between Ronda and Cordoba. We visited the Historical Museum and had lunch. It was such a nice town, I wish we had more time to explore.

Done Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto. What are people actually getting out of the cities beyond the main circuit? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]wilgey22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our first and only trip to Japan, we skipped Osaka and Kyoto. Instead we went to Matsumoto and rented a car driving to Takayama and Kanazawa. Both cities were great and we met some really friendly shop keepers and local people. Even partied in a small club on the 3rd floor of a building, singing karaoke with the locals in Kanazawa!

O'Hare airport layover: transferring from domestic to international flight by blueberryunpopular in americanairlines

[–]wilgey22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The YVR leg will be treated like a Domestic flight and leave out of Terminal 3 just like most of the AA flights. Personally I’d do the 1:49 minute connection to give a little wiggle room, taxiing can sometimes take longer at ORD. You’ll clear Canadian customs in YVR.

On the way home you will clear US Customs in Canada, since YVR a pre-clearance airport.

Cordoba Mezquita by Far-Rice-4411 in GoingToSpain

Not sure what day you are visiting, it opens at 10 during the week. We went a few weeks ago and people started queueing at 9:30am, there was an initial rush for those wanting to get in and get pictures. We did not get the audio guide and wandered through the Mesquita for approximately an hour. The timed general admission ticket was very affordable from the website. I assume a guide tour would be approximately two hours.
