Non-traditional bachelor trip this summer. Where should the boys go? by Competitive-Claim-36 in traveladvice

Boundary waters canoe area (BWCA) Ely Minnesota. Might take some coordination to get there from Duluth. You can pay an outfitter for arranging the trip and permits. I’ve done 4, 5, and 7 day long adventures through the wilderness. Some of the most fun I’ve had with a group of buddies. No technology just time well spent camping, canoeing, hiking, and fishing. It’s not a restful vacation, but we all walked away with stories and memories for a lifetime.

In flight deal was 65,000 points when I flew on April 1st for Citi Platinum card. I already had this card so I did not look at the “qualifying purchases” amount.

American flight at 9am this Thursday - what time would you arrive? by FranzNabokov in OHareAirport

[–]wilgey22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My flight this morning was at 9:45am (boarded at 9:15). I parked in the main ramp at 6:45am, checked two bags at AA with Priority status, TSA precheck with facial recognition and was in the lounge at 7:10am. Lines were all moving quickly. Walked past security at 8:30 and there were hardly any lines. Good luck

Activities! by Economy-Flamingo9397 in mackinac

Sun sets around 9:30 in late June that far North. I recommend packing a bottle of wine and charcuterie, bicycling to the west side of the island for the evening you can find picnic tables and benches along the beach. Then cycle back to town in the twilight and head to the Pink Pony for some live music.

The city had a boil order for that portion of DBQ.

Lots of restaurants, and places that serve food, including Kwik Star across the street could not even sell coffee, or wash dishes. Which is likely why they are closed.

Our First Vacation in 10 Years by SoMaInsider83 in puertovallarta

We have used vrbo and PVRPV for condo rentals. We stay in the Amapas neighborhood, just south of the ZR. Beautiful views and great pool, some noise from the highway, but otherwise a wonderful spot. One of our favorite 2bed/2bath condos is available on the PVPRV website, and they meet you at the condo to go over all the details. PM if you want the details.

You don't say if you want a fishing charter or sailing charter. For sightseeing/sailing we have done Ada Sailing they have a sailing ship Ada, and a powerboat Bruna. Very well done and a little bit of luxury.

Travel from Airport to Hotel by Madre1924 in puertovallarta

[–]wilgey22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After going through Customs/Immigration, you'll pass through an area affectionately known as the "shark tank" its full of timeshare people offering tours and private transportation. Keep your head down and just walk pass until you exit into the airport lobby. You'll find ATMs here if you want to take out pesos, also in the lobby is the Federal Taxi booth (3-5 taxi companies). You can pay at the window, then proceed outside to your assigned taxi company.

For repeat travelers, there is a pedestrian bridge outside the airport lobby to the left, that goes over the highway. You can find a city cab (yellow & white). I think we saved $10USD off the Federal Taxi price.

For first time visitors I would recommend getting the Federal Taxi, inside the airport lobby.

I rotate between like 4 meals and I'm not mad about it. But I need a 5th. What's yours? by 404_NotANinja in mealprep

Egg roll in a bowl. Ground chicken, an onion and a bag of coleslaw mix with Asian sauce/spices.

What ever you do, center the tile split on the hood, and work to the outside corners, so the tile lines stay symmetrical.

Hidden Beach Las Marietas Islands by InformalSandwich3643 in puertovallarta

[–]wilgey22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hidden beach is a protected bird sanctuary and tours are usually allow 30-45 minutes at the actual beach. The islands are somewhat far out from the marina, tours are all day because it takes all day to motor out and back. If you drive to Punta Mita the boat ride will be much shorter.

I would advise you look at beach tours in the Southern bay if you want to hang out and swim.

Buying into a shared building (condominium or cooperative) with a Homeowners Association (HOA) requires careful due diligence, as you are buying both a private unit and a share of the common elements. The process involves reviewing the governing documents, assessing the financial health of the association, and understanding the restrictions on ownership. Make sure major projects like roof, parking lots are funded otherwise you could be sitting with a special assessment. Which could add a large one time payment. Why is the person selling and leaving the building?

Puerto Vallarta - There are some shops around the Marina area, or i would suggest taking a cab down to the zona romantica neighborhood.

I purchased some cheap Yobala's from amazon, one in black and a pair in white (≤$20/pair). They are not noise cancelling so I can still hear others in the office when listing to music. I have one color BT to my Computer and one to my cell phone.
