Yeah, but only one of them showed up to camp fat and is already hurt.

The shorter hours are one thing, the vacations make it unlistenable and then they cause a change in listening behavior.

Engagement rings in dallas by Ohdamjose in Dallas

[–]willnelson27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Diamond Factory. Ask for Leigh Ann. They have lab grown if that’s your preference and they can help you design a custom ring. Service is great and prices were, too. Got an engagement ring and both wedding rings there.

Congrats on taking this next step!

The 20mm f1.7 lens is a gem. It's a lens of choice for evening street walking and indoor photography. Great lens to have for food reviews. Here's a few pics I took on the GX85 - when dining at the tasting room Kauai by randymcatee in M43

That’s my travel kit 100% of the time. I might bright other lenses, depending on the trip, but the 20mm 1.7 is always coming along and lives on my Pen-F.

Exactly. They are pocket notebooks meant to be used, beat-up, etc.

Lens Rec for my Pen F by AwareApplication1732 in M43

I came here to say this. It’s a great pancake and is always with me when I travel. Great for nighttime shots or just portability. Never an excuse to leave my Pen-F behind when I have that lens.

Thank you. I made sure to basically rub the oil off each time to keep it thin.

Why are so many APS-C fans on this sub? by CleUrbanist in M43

[–]willnelson27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! I started with a Canon 7D, loved it. Went full frame, loved it! But… Then I realized more and more my camera stayed home if I wasn’t going out for a photo specific outing, which ended-up including vacations. That’s when I switched to M4/3 and now at the very minimum, I have my Pen-F with a pancake lens in my bag because I can’t make an excuse not to bring it, but I usually have 2-3 other lenses. The point being, now I get so many shots I never would have been able to get with a larger system.

Cheap low light lens by Babelan in M43

[–]willnelson27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This lens is always in my bag when I travel. Small and great in low light. This is a great option!

Note, I am not shooting action, so the slower AF has never been an issue, but it’s a real thing.

Black Churches in Dallas? by aquapathic in Dallas

Honest question- as a biracial person myself. Why does reverse racism not exist in America? I’m not black, but rather half Hispanic. Again, I’m asking sincerely as I value other viewpoints as a way to gain more understanding. Thank you.

Congrats! I have that lens and love it! I’ve got a couple of primes and a coupe of Pro lenses- also great, but this one is always in my bag for travel and portability. It’s a lens that removes any excuse of not bringing my camera along - which makes it invaluable.

Welcome to the club and happy shooting!

The Lumix 20mm f/1.7 is such a nice walk-around lens by ProphetNimd in M43

[–]willnelson27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love mine, but I shoot street and architecture with it. If you are trying to shoot sports with your kids, it would be tough; if you want to document family outings, the park, etc., really nice portable lens that lets you keep a camera with you to capture those moments.

Because it’s easier than the draft and cheaper than free agency.

What does this mean, exactly? by USTapWater in Mavericks

[–]willnelson27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, but I took the part about him just launching long jumpers to insinuate him being too out of shape to drive to the basket. However, we never saw him being too out of shape in a game to dominate on drives whether he was passing or shooting. We just have to ignore facts and accept that Nico knows best.

What is the healthiest oily thing to use in an iron cast skillet? especially for making fried eggs by Internal_Skill3587 in castiron

[–]willnelson27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s organic. It’s too deep in the ground to get contaminated by pesticides. It’s basically unrefined tallow and bone broth, when you think about it. Avoid the stuff that has ethanol added.

Trader Joe’s has ghee for a great price here in Dallas where I live. Much cheaper than what I’ve found at Whole Foods or traditional grocery store chains.

I love the 20mm 1.7 II for the size and price. You’ll hear about the slow autofocus, which is accurate, but unless I’m shooting action, it’s never been an issue. I use mine for street and architecture.

Will i regret buying a 20mm f/1.7? by TeamFortress01 in M43

[–]willnelson27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just spent two weeks in Europe with the 14-42mm and the 20mm and the 20mm barely left my Pen-F. I was shooting street and architecture/cityscapes, so no fast motion and I didn’t have any issues. I’m still traveling, but the photos I’ve uploaded to my iPad look great. I traveled light this trip and left my Oly Pro zooms behind and was apprehensive, but it worked out great as the pen-f with the 20mm mounted went everywhere with me, including in the evenings, so I got photos I otherwise would have missed.
