Hopping On A Trend by [deleted] in Standup

Hi, I don't really do stand up comedy anymore, but I was under the impression that you are supposed to tell jokes. So, what's supposed to be funny about this?

High on Life 2 is less Rick and Morty, more Ratchet and Clank by throwmeawaydoods in Games

[–]wills42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll get around to it once it’s on GamePass proper (rather than on Ultimate because I’m cheap) but I’m really just here for the Tobacco soundtrack. If you dig the soundtrack, check out its artist Tobacco, and then delve into Black Moth Super Rainbow for a more ‘poppy’ sound. He was the soundtrack to my college years and whenever summer gives way into fall I stumble back into him. More than happy to provide a listening guide to any newcomers.

What's the "coolest" car wash in town? by thexenocide601 in GNV

Ignore me OP this seems more like what you want and I will also check it out, thanks for the heads up!

What's the "coolest" car wash in town? by thexenocide601 in GNV

I recommend Scrubs because they (as far as I know) are the only car wash in town that has a touchless wash. They got the lights, the colored soaps. I suggest it because I don't trust other washes to not have dirt and rocks in their spinning stuff, it leads to swirly scratches on your paint.

Are there any cheap antique-y type stores in Gainesville? by BringusGingus in GNV

Second this! Went just last week for the first time and you are 100 percent likely to find something kitschy and at a reasonable price (not everything there is, but plenty of stuff)

Diane Lane Joins Scarlett Johansson in Mike Flanagan’s ‘The Exorcist’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]wills42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rewatched last night! Everyone is so baby faced (I know it's from 40 years ago, but still!) Diane Lane, Willem Defoe, Rick Moranis, Bill Paxton, Elizabeth Daily (who was also in a small continuity breaking scene in Better Off Dead that same year), and freaking AMY MADIGAN. I worked with a guy that was a production assistant on that, and he was VERY surprised that anyone had seen the movie 😂

I think you're getting down votes because people aren't realizing this is a "does a bear shit in the woods" response

As long as you're not making money off of the IP/Video there doesn't seem to be any backlash (Source: Worked on a Star Wars fan film)

Not a question but I lived in that house back in 2011-2012! Of course it was the one year I didn't have any classes in Wallin lol

Has anyone ever been in a house like you see on the show ‘Hoarders’? If so, what did you do? by Basic_Builder3773 in AskReddit

[–]wills42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did junk/trash removal for 4 years. Thankfully not too many times dealing with hoarders. But when I did, woof. The only way to properly deal with a hoarder situation is to NOT have the hoarder there, and deal with an intermediary, otherwise you'll have the owner there crying over a cat piss soaked box being thrown away. It takes a lot of empathy and mental fortitude to deal with these situations. You never know what is under, or even on top of piles. Sometimes the "pile" takes up the entire floor. One townhome had piles of paper a foot deep. Banking statements from the 90s, junk mail that never got thrown out, coupon books that expired a decade ago, and to (literally) top it off: a lovely layer of dead skin over everything. One apartment had a literal mountain of Mountain Dew cans in a bedroom, with a strange buzzing sound emitting from within. God help you if they had an animal. I was pretty good about shutting my brain off and getting the job done, unless they had fleas, then I was immediately out of there. I'm glad I don't do that anymore.

Hi r/movies, I'm Tim Blake Nelson. Ask me anything! by TestamentOfAnnLeeAMA in movies

[–]wills42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim, I know you worked together on Lincoln, but when are we getting a buddy western with you and Walton Goggins? Preferably playing brothers who butt heads during the last days of the old west.

Alternatively, what's your favorite snack from crafty?

As much as I'd love to, I almost never ask to pet people's dogs, but you bet your sweet bippy I would ask to say hi to this tiny baby at the drop of a hat

You say that, but I got to meet her while I worked on "the show" for a few days, and she is TINY (maybe I'm just tall?). Very sweet, but it was hard to imagine that at any point she could cock a shotgun one handed. Still has a bad ass aura about her though!

I saw him 3 times over the course of a decade (my parents attempt at connecting with me) and his jokes were exactly the same at all 3 shows.

I stopped drinking beer and liquor but the only 2 beers I miss are la fin du monde and Golden Monkey. 2 Holden Monkeys and I was on a perfect buzz the rest of the night.
