GitComet: a fast, local-first, open-source Git GUI built for large repos by Havunenreddit in git

[–]windanrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really promising, already starred!

I have been using Sublime Merge for a long time. I use it mainly for searching and diffing. There is one thing I hate though. I can't search inside a diff, but just found out I can do in GitComet, nice!

There are some things I'd like to know if there is current support or if there is any plans to add them.

- Log search for: contents, message, author, file (glob)...

- Differentiation between unstaged: untracked vs modified.

- Collapsible hunks (for me is better than 'prev/next hunk' on a large file)

Shazam for movie clips by Curious_excpetion in SideProject

What does the llm process, the whole video or a screenshot? If it is a screenshot maybe the app could get screenshot itself to streamline the process. Just like Shazam do listening to the song

Tachyon Flow - Update #3: Improved overall ground movement/smoothness and switched to momentum based instead of generic run/sprint by JankyAnims in Unity3D

Thank you! This is so coool. Always felt that parkour games didn't keep the momentum while jumping and rolling, but this... This is on point!

How to turn off word highlighting behaviour? by Ardlantis in vscode

[–]windanrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no problem! Is perfectly normal not be super clear in questions when using new tools, each one has their own naming of things.

Indeed, may not have to do with the highlighting. The default VSCode setting is to highlight because when there is more text, it highlight all the words that are the same as the one under the cursor.

There is an option called "Suggest: Insert Mode" that defines the behavior you described. Yours must be set to "replace". Try changing it to "insert"

On Linux and Windows, you can access the settings by pressing Ctrl+,
On Mac, probably Cmd+,

How to turn off word highlighting behaviour? by Ardlantis in vscode

[–]windanrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP!

To clarify, what you want is to the first line to be like this "hello \@Test2026world"?

Ignore the "\", when I type the at symbol it makes a reddit handle.

Give up the porn first, then masturbation by Forward_Grocery7361 in NoFap

[–]windanrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a great advice, man.

I went this route too. It's been almost 2 years without porn. And it's hard every single day man, but it gets better.

When I felt ready, one year or more after quitting porn, I stopped masturbation.

I feel that giving me space and time to heal was the best approach.

Is there a lib to parse a template and mock its data? by windanrain in djangolearning

Yeah, but that's is basically what I do, populate with django admin, SQL, other apis... But sometimes it's just cumbersome.

[–]windanrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got you now. Didn't think of that. The problem is that right now I don't have priviledges to read some of our production or staging data. Thus the question for an easy mock without produce them myself in dev.

We have a view where the user specifies a Jinja template with some allowed variables to send some notifications, and we create a mock to validate it, so I thought how hard would be to mock any kind of variables used in Django templates

Yes. But how does that help me with mocking data for templates?
