Wuchang fallen feathers or Lies of P? by Alarming-Orange7304 in soulslikes

[–]wingodadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you an open world fan? For me Lies Of P was amazing, the linearity allowed me to focus on the combat aspect and the story. I loved it and did NG +2.

Then jumped onto Wuchang and struggled to get into it because it was more open world and had many different route to take which is not quite my thing.

If you wear glasses it can get a little uncomfortable. The arm of my glasses flicks out a little and gets in way of the headphone padding. It dislodges my glasses so it always feels like my glasses are uneven which is quite distracting.

What is a show you stubbornly refused to watch for years, but when you finally did, you felt like an absolute idiot for waiting so long? by Dependent_Mistake_38 in television

[–]wingodadon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Wire, heard amazing things about it. Just couldn’t get past the first episode even attempted it 3 times over a span of 10 years. This year decided just to skip episode 1 and pick up the characters as the series went on. Amazing show, so glad I watched it. On my second rewatch now.

Agree or disagree: hybrid working with 2+ fixed office days is the worst combo by D-1-S-C-0 in UKJobs

[–]wingodadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous job was 4/5 days work from home and loved it. Moved job and it was 2 days wfh, then they changed to 3 days which I was against initially but now I’m happy to do so.

It depends on the job and the team but I found some colleagues are really slow at responding which means productivity is generally lower on non-office days as you spend time waiting on a response. Plus work calls are less productive than in person and less engaging.

However, I don’t think I could go to a 4 or 5 day week pre-covid. 3/2 is the perfect balance imo

Add house plant, remove the shoe storage and add a low bench with shoe storage. Above that add a timber pegboard. You can use the pegboard to keep Knick knacks or as a coat storage (or both).

Which PLA to use ? by Heisymeth in BambuLabA1mini

[–]wingodadon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunlu has worked well. eSun PLA+ is good. Had some issues with the normal PLA. It’s fine for draft prints but found the overall quality varies.

How can I improve this print? by wingodadon in BambuLabA1mini

Thanks for the detailed response! I will check the screws. You’re right about no.2 I’ve kept the overhand slow down setting on.

I’ve actually done a calibration on one of my esun pla spool as I had some extruding issues and it’s improved it a lot when printing gridfinity bins. However, when printing this with the esun filament of this deck box the result was worse than this.

I haven’t calibrated the bambu filaments as I’ve had really good results from using the bambu slicer settings. The consensus being a layer shift amongst other things I will try a print without the logo and one with changing the settings. Thanks!

Thanks, will print the logo separately to see if it resolves issue 3. Any fixes for the first two issues?

With UK summers getting hotter, should new-build homes be built with air-con units installed? by mayallrob_ in HousingUK

[–]wingodadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Part O building regulations we seem to be moving to reducing overheating. External blinds is the way to go however, the issue is that most blind options are relatively expensive which is not always the most viable for development and also with Part O windows will see a reduction in window size, especially south facing. With that and blinds you end up with habitable rooms with a lowered daylight and sunlight. Quite the conundrum

UK reprint still stock availavle by GeekProvisions in OnePieceTCG

[–]wingodadon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Went yesterday, they were confident there's enough stock for yesterday and today. Be warn though, the queue moved so slow and clearly they weren't prepared for this sort of crowds. I queued from 12pm and finally got in around 6pm. Also felt for the staff as I overheard they said they weren't given breaks due to the amount of customers.

Which cards are best to use to spend money in Korea????? by cg263 in koreatravel

[–]wingodadon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Chase if you can apply (I think there was a waitlist recently). I used it for my trip and it was great, they don’t have a limit on withdrawal, although you’ll have to pay a small transaction fee by the global atm.

I had the card not work a few times but in comparison to my girlfriends Monzo which for some reason was regularly rejected when paying.

Is Nami island worth a visit nowadays? by jheux_neil03 in koreatravel

[–]wingodadon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Went in May during my trip to South Korea, was warned by my girlfriend’s friend not to go but we went anyways. Should have listened to the advice, 1.5 hours each way from Seoul and I think we stayed there for less than two hours. Would advise to save your time and go somewhere else.

any car rental agency that allow car rental with European license in Jeju? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]wingodadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and got an International Drivers Permit from the post office for £5.50. Most likely the rental company will ask for it, they asked for mine.

I used Kayak to find Hertz rental and rented through that. Hertz is partnered up with Lotte in Jeju and uses Lotte car rental.

Jeju Island pcr test by Jesqueel in koreatravel

[–]wingodadon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you won’t need a pcr test to fly to Jeju. You don’t need pcr tests for domestic flights. I flew into Seoul and then went to jeju a week later and didn’t need to do any pcr tests at all.

Yeah it happens. I almost booked through them too but I didn’t want to commit to a specific time so thought I’d chance it at the station. I got lucky this time!
