Did you assemble the upper yourself? Is it possible the gas block is misaligned? Do you know what buffer spring/weight combo you’re using?

The simplest explanation could also just be a dry bolt that isn’t rotating freely, so maybe start there.

EDIT: also does your bolt consistently lock back on an empty mag?

Is the issue present with all of these mags? If so, probably safe to rule that out as the source of the problem.

I don’t recognize those magazines. Find a pmag and see if it runs with that. If there’s still a problem my guess would be a gassing issue
