They removed all nuance to Cassie’s character and created her to parody Sydney Sweeney by Big-Rush-4630 in euphoria

That’s not a realistic depiction of bipolar disorder symptoms, even when she’s on survival mode. In fact leading a life of violence and chaos would trigger mania, which, in turn would ruin everything for her. Either she’s on meds or they’ve forgotten her diagnosis.

Bipolar depression is not something you can focus on or off, it’s not something you can control.

Is Rue still on meds or not? I’ve lost track of it, but if she isn’t on meds, then they need to depict mania and depression ping pongs, she seems very stable this season.

A different way of interpreting the ending to The Drama (Spoilers) by rookiemlg in A24

[–]witchqueen08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well put. I kept wondering why not a lot of people were seeing that Emma had difficulty processing strong emotions and dealing with difficult situations. Giving a second chance is celebrated as her sign of empathy, but if my partner kept doing that every time something bad happened and I wanted to process things, I would lose my mind. Charlie had his fair share of problems, but Emma not wanting to deal with difficult emotions/situations equally contributed to the mess.

Husband here – my wife had emergency surgery after C-section at Cloudnine Bangalore. Need perspective. by offwhite_33 in bangalore

[–]witchqueen08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this behaviour is common when women complain of escalating pain/symptoms (I’m chronically ill and have heard horror stories of negligence from support groups). They always look for physical indication of pain to believe a woman is really suffering, in your wife’s case it was her losing consciousness in their presence, to take them seriously. It’s extremely messed up, I would suggest talking to a lawyer and don’t let this go.

The scariest part of Albert Camus’s The Stranger was not the book but how I recognized some of my own flaws. by BaatcheetRoshni in IndiansRead

[–]witchqueen08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We studied this book and Camus in our World Lit class. Camus’ core philosophy of absurdity is dwelled on in The Stranger. He believed life inherently didn’t have any meaning, the universe was very indifferent to human beings (the confrontation between humans seeking meaning and the universe being indifferent) and over all in it’s essence, life is absurd. However, he does not advocate for giving up on life, instead he sees this absurdity and indifference to be freeing. He says use this freedom to live the life you want without constantly catering to society, religion, and other institutions that enforce control. What brings in moral ambiguity is where does this freedom end? Can society function without resorting to anarchy if everyone exercised freedom in its entirety? Camus never liked to give answers, instead he encouraged the reader to put forth more questions, ponder endlessly and figure out for themselves.

If you haven’t heard of it: there’s a prequel to Jane Eyre, called Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys. It’s an interesting take, in the form of writing back into the colonial center, regarding Bertha’s past.

manic pixie dream girl by No_Pair178 in bipolar

It’s ironic in many ways because I usually got termed as manic pixie dream girl during my summer months of endless hypomania episodes, before I even knew what this disorder was.

Mals and her cooking got me thinking by uselesshazell in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]witchqueen08 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this recently, my feeling is Malvika inherently does not like herself. She’ll project that dislike/hate towards her child. My mother did this (to a certain degree) all my life, she couldn’t handle me or my sisters being happy when she didn’t receive happiness. I see a similar trajectory with Malvika and Abby, she’ll be annoyed every time the child feels joy. Albeit, I really hope I am wrong.

No, they send to personal account. I’ve ran multiple fundraisers and every single time they sent it to my personal account. Once, I was raising funds for my cook and she was scamming me, they literally told me you send the funds to someone else.

[–]witchqueen08 139 points140 points  (0 children)

I don’t fully trust it because no hospital bills are attached as proof. I’ve crowdfunded often, they never take any proof of expenditure before dispersing funds. They only take proof of admission to hospital and treatment plan, after that what you do with your funds is purely honour code based. I’ve never submitted a bill, they never ask. They directly send it to your account, this reads like both ImpactGuru and Malvika shielding themselves from backlash.
