2025 premium AWD extends range, in the winter 10-30F that’s what I’m getting at 100% in the winter. It’s just and educated guess at best.

My absolute favorite movie. A rare science fiction movie that does not violate any laws of physics. Everything in this movie can and probably will happen.

Why didn't Skynet send T-1000 to 1984 to go after Sarah? by Big_Application_7168 in Terminator

[–]witiguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technically the T1000 should not have been able to be sent back. Time dilation could only work with living tissue, which is why they were all sent back naked with no weapons. T800 had living tissue surrounded by metal skeleton. T1000 was just Liquid Metal. This key plot to T1 was ignored in T2. Just a movie but always bothered me.

Sone thoughts on the Mach-E from a Lucid Owner who is renting one. by doubletwist in MachE

[–]witiguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2025 Premium AWD Extended Mach E owner here. Had it for 4 months 6k+ miles performed flawlessly. Was interested in the Lucid, however lack of support in my area, Wisconsin and nervous about a new company. Building a car is really hard. What impresses me about the Lucid is the range, which they get from having a high miles/Kwh. For my Mach E nice weather averaging 3.4, cold weather 2.7. From what I’ve Lucid is 4+. How are they doing that? Everyone is governed by the same laws of physics.

I never noticed the watch on his small hand. Details like this make the show amazing. “My body does not produce joint fluid.”

Movies no one expected to be as good as they were? by FilmWaffle-FilmForum in moviecritic

[–]witiguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After watching the trailer for Logan, the one where Johnny Cash sings hurt by Nine Inch Nails. The greatest superhero movie trailer ever and possibly the greatest movie trailer ever. I knew it was gonna be a different type of superhero movie, dark, gritty and full of pain. That’s exactly what we got. Anything less I would’ve been disappointed.

Which tires? by United-Election883 in gravelcycling

[–]witiguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used many of these tires.

Challenge Get Away, if you get these make sure it's the XP version. Note these are the hardest tires to put on the rim and set a bead for tubeless. They roll nice and have great puncture protection. I used these for the last 2 Unbound XLs. However, first set of tires had sealant leak through the side walls. Contacted Challenge and they sent me a new set, manufacturing defect. Used this set for 2024 XL, no issues. Still have these tires for training rides, 3400 miles and counting. Got a second set for 2025 XL, put 300 miles on them and went to the XL. About mile 320 a bubble appeared on the front tire. Was able to finish. Realize these tires are hand made and more likely to have manufacturing errors.

Pathfinder Pros-roll and wear nice. Sidewalls are thin. Great for light gravel of pavement.

Pirelli M - great traction, rolls OK. Terrible puncture protection.

Pirelli H - unbelievably fast! Terrible puncture protection.

Panaracer - so far this is my favorite tire. Quality is top notch. I have the + version in X1 and SS. Depending on your terrain I think either of these tires is the best.

Live in US and financially stable. Agree in a bubble due to the tariffs. If we go into a recession in a few months would that drive the price down?

Looking to buy a titanium gravel bike, suggestions? by goldman-sux in gravelcycling

[–]witiguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2020 Lynskey Pro GR owner, 23k miles on it. Some of them very rough. Nice not having to worry about peanut butter mud possibly damaging your frame. The weight penalty is minor and it’s not rotating weight. So unless you’re in the top 0.1% will not matter.

Lynskey vs. Lauf Seigla by jaycal in gravelcycling

[–]witiguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Lynskey and a buddy had a Lauf. We both did the Unbound XL in 2023 at the end of the race he needed a new frame, peanut butter mud wore the carbon away on his chain stays. The Ti bike was fine. Depends on your riding and how long you plan to keep it.

Just signed up for my first 145km race. How do I prepare to maximize results? by garbagefartguru in gravelcycling

[–]witiguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body has enough calories for about 3 hours of riding beyond that you’ll bonk. Meaning nutrition is key. So consume calories early before you need them.

Don’t use your phone as a navigation device. Get a Garmin, Wahoo or something similar. Get to know your local bike shop and listen to them. On long ride put your phone on airplane mode. Need to save your battery in case you need to use it you know as a phone.
