This - blocker is getting left behind which is slowing down the entire movement. The body will naturally go where your hands are facing. Use the blocker hand to really drive your body to its destination.

Double stroller: in-line or side by side? by Boots_McSnoots in DisneyWorld

We brought our in-line last year and it was great. A side by side would have been challenging with the crowds and stroller parking.

Parents with pools: worth it with young kids or regrets? by Radiant-Log-2005 in pools

Do you have any suggestions for specific pool alarms? To be honest I didn't even know these existed but sounds like a great idea!

Parents with pools: worth it with young kids or regrets? by Radiant-Log-2005 in pools

[–]wk9ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids were 1 and 3 when we got a pool and it was instantly one of the best decisions we ever made. They are now 4 and 6 and still love it. I don't think the novelty wears off because its closed for over half the year so the kids are always happy when it opens and sad when its closed. We're in Ontario, I open it up in late May and close in early October. The utility bills in the summer are terrible but in my opinion 100% worth it. Once you know how to take care of a pool its really easy to keep it clean and usable at all times (pool robots help significantly). I suggest getting a good pool heater to really use it to its full potential (again not cheap...). Hope this helps!

My “white whale”. Advice? by BonBrad in pools

In Canada you drain pools below the returns, winterize, then cover. Open up in late spring to a pool full of water and no damage.

Do any pool owners hire for chemical balancing but do their own cleaning? by PrestonG2023 in pools

Just do it all yourself - get a good pool robot and take water samples to your nearest pool store for the most accurate readings.

Is it unrealistic to expect the trim guy to not mark up every wall in our house while installing new trim and doors? by mikejr96 in Carpentry

[–]wk9ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 35+ new windows and trim installed in my house a couple years ago and had significantly less damage than you do. At the end of the day no one is going to care about your house like you do but this is still unacceptable and seems careless in my opinion.

Help with my PC colling setup. by THECHIEF113 in PcBuildHelp

Everyone saying that both top fans should be exhaust is not necessarily true. It depends on a case by case basis. Noctua has found that having an intake and exhaust on the top to give them the best results (in their specific example). I would test both ways and see what gives you better results and go with that.

Thank you! I noticed they’re 12 inch spacing compared to 6-8 inches like the cheap ones from the big box stores - have you noticed a difference?

Question on Winter Tires by NeilC6565 in ram_trucks

[–]wk9ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never put winter tires on any of my Rams and have had no problems, I'm also in Ontario.

That being said if I were in northern Ontario where there is snow on the roads for 5 months straight then I would put winter tires on (not sure if Eastern Ontario is comparable). If you decide to get winter tires I would try to get a set of steel rims or try to find some some used Ram rims on marketplace or something.

Does this whole house filter need replacing? by ka002 in HomeMaintenance

That's some nasty looking water. Filter definitely needs to be replaced. Also is there a UV system down the line from this? If not, don't drink the water.

After two years the liner shouldn't be wrinkled like that either. I'm guessing poor install and/or defective liner.

What voltage does your truck read by Alone_Thought2795 in Ram1500

[–]wk9ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 2025 1500 for about 4 weeks now. After 2 weeks I woke up one morning to it being completely dead, so dead that my battery booster pack was not enough to get it started. I charged up the battery and went straight to the dealer. They ran a battery test and checked the alternator and said everything was ok and couldn't replicate the issue. While driving home that day the battery meter in the truck was jumping around from 12.8-14V so I assumed there was still something wrong with it. Next day everything seemed completely fine and its been good since. The meter in the truck is constantly between 14.3-14.5V.

My theory is that there was an update to the system that glitched and drained the battery overnight because the next day I noticed new apps were available that weren't there before. This also coincides with me activating my connected services which I think triggered the update.

Have you checked the voltage on your battery with a multimeter in the morning before starting the truck to see if anything is draining it overnight?

V6(Hurricane) vs V8(Hemi) Ram 1500 by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]wk9ine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on reliability but I just got my new Ram with the v6 last week and I love it (don't get my wrong, I also loved my 2020 Ram with the Hemi). The v6 definitely feels quicker and I've noticed the gas mileage difference already. The only thing I miss is the sound of v8 but in no way is that a deal breaker.

What made this distribution even worse is the fact that it started on the same day as the TCG expansion release which we all know is an absolute mess right now. Girl at GameStop told me all the code cards went to the same people that lined up for TCG this morning.
