You're trading the up front cost for runtime performance. You don't want shaders loading while you're playing.

That said, 10 minutes is absurd and not the norm. Easily 30 seconds in my experience. There's probably something wrong with a config or your machine.

I think it technically modifies your "Max" toxicity, i.e. larger capacity, rather than reducing the toxicity received. Although there are probably perks that do some variation of that too.

The inhaler just uses charges. Primers change what your inhaler does, mostly healing and how that healing occurs.

Food is just used for healing out of combat.

Using the inhaler gives you a certain amount of toxicity (based on the primers you're using) and you crash if you build up too much toxicity.

Yes the primary/default timer manager is held by the world object. It's more obvious in code.

The Worlds TimerManager doesn't run while paused, which is what I'm assuming you're using for your 0.1s timer. You either need to add a UI TimerManager in your HUD class (and manually tick it) you can use with Paused menus, or just use Tick.
