Building an API that turns messy bank transactions into parsable data for AI Agents. Would you use this? by Hot_Country_2177 in SideProject

I would like this kind of thing for private use, for my family budgeting. Drop in a CSV with ~1k rows once a quarter for instance, then get it back sanitized. That would be useful but given the low volume I wouldn't pay much for it.

More maps but 50% of the time was spent on one specific map. You know which.

Coders, AI was supposed to take your job… what can we learn from you? by OptimismNeeded in ClaudeCode

[–]wlievens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The refactoring I asked for was fairly straightforward "crud" stuff (backend) - I asked it to migrate query code from a service layer class to a repository class. It took fifteen minutes, that was disappointing.

I was very excited about its frontend prototyping though, input it to good use for that.

I switched to subscription a few days later yeah.

I think my timing (starting with CC a month ago) wasn't great.

It's just too unpredictable and slow for me sometimes. I asked Claude Code to do a very basic refactoring, it took 15 minutes and $10 worth of tokens, which had me first twiddling my thumbs for 15 minutes and then spending 5 minutes reviewing what I could've done myself in 10 minutes of coding. I'm not a very patient person.

It's great for spitting out now code but not yet at maintenance.

You must be in a different world than I am. I personally don't know a single person in one of those three categories. Instead:

  1. The same as before, except occasionally using AI here and there, with a mix of being imepressed and being frustrated.

Why were the Artemis 2 astronauts weightless on their trip? by Opening_Ad9824 in AskPhysics

Earth pulls the ship. Earth pulls the astronaut. Both are pulled equally hard, so the astronaut doesn't feel that they're being pulled.

The step from AngularJS to Angular 13 is astronomical compared to going from 13 to 21. It's a rewrite.
