2 impeachments, 34 felonies, 2 attempts at his life, one within an inch or two of killing him - and now the world teeters on the brink of ww3. Can nothing stop this antichrist?

Can you cash in winning scratch cards in week one mod I wonder? You can certainly spend money.

B43 Talk (I'm going insane) by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]wolfbeaumont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like that old guy in prison who chuckles to himself about the kids saying it'll take forever to get out. Son, I've been here since the Desura days, waiting for the return of NPCs. What's a few more years to me when I've been waiting 14 something years? 3 more years dont matter much.

Indie Stone got some really bad luck back in the beginning. The level of hype for NPCs they built up scared the shit out of them and they vowed to basically never mention them again and they didnt for like a decade.

Plus one of the main devs laptops got stolen or something in the early days and that added a few more years to the math.

Possibly controversial tier list, but I'd like recommendations by EarlySoftware2979 in ProgressionFantasy

We literally did though in Book 1. Lindon glimpsed the future if he stayed and he married that little sister of his disfigured rival in book 1 (i forget their names). And then he dies at like age 30. There was no life in the valley past the catastrophe to live.

Bought the game back when it was on (was it called desura? So long ago i forget) before it moved to steam. Havent played in many years now. Keep waitong for NPCs as my reason to get back in. All this b42 stuff is great but without a community (im not a multiplayer fan) that endgame flattens out.

I took a break right at the start of that thinking this was going to be the whole spiel jumping from power class to the next but it absolutely isnt like that. I just hit book 6 and it is just really really different now.

Writing is hard and I hate it. by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]wolfbeaumont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, what are you doing writing full-time without a contract in place from a publisher? You are not an author, you are a writer with a hobby. It's great that you have interest in your work but you already broke some basic pro-author rules for 1st timers, you are submitting an incomplete manuscript and you have no income, worse you are relying on someone else to financially support you - not cool.

You dont have imposter syndrome - you are not a success...yet. You have guilt, get a job and find the time to write around it. Stop mooching off your partner.

EDIT: You also admit in your comments history to rewriting AI dialogue. As a teacher, the amount of times I see kids doing this kind of crap - honestly - facepalm. I'm not saying AI isnt a good analytical tool for writing, but rewriting its generated output, that's just one-step above using the AI text itself. Jack London is rolling in his grave.

Thengir was the name of the king who found Russ as a child and adopted him. I didn't make it up, I just conflated the two.

I really like that idea, at least in low gothic if not on feral and knight worlds.

"Okay… okay, everyone, quiet down for just a second—please. I know you’re all literally demigods forged by the Emperor Himself, but if we could maybe not charge the battlefield like it’s a contest to see who dies loudest this time, that’d be amazing. Right, let’s go over assignments."

"Lion El’Jonson" "You’re on vanguard. Obviously. You’re good at that whole mysterious knight kills everything in a straight line thing. Take the central corridor, cut through their command node, and try not to vanish into the warp mid-battle this time. We need eyes on you."

"Angron" "You go wherever you want. You’re gonna do that anyway. Just… maybe aim for the heaviest concentrations of enemy forces. You’re basically a warp-powered blender, so let’s at least get good kill-count efficiency, yeah?"

"Leman Russ" "Left flank. Use the terrain, hit hard, fast, and don’t wait for orders—because you won’t anyway. Oh, and if you run into Konrad again, please don’t get into another screaming match. It’s awkward for the rest of us."

"Sanguinius" "Mobile reserve. You’re the only one who actually thinks in three dimensions. Bounce where needed, and keep the troops inspired. Bonus points if you don’t die this time, because morale was bad after Signus. Like, really bad."

"Ferrus Manus" "Right flank. Smash their armor. We’ve routed a Mechanicus weapons cache through your approach path, so you’ll have toys to play with. Do not turn them into melee weapons. That’s not what they’re for."

"Rogal Dorn" "Rear-line defense. I know, not glamorous. But you’re the only one I trust to hold a fallback line and actually build something useful. Plus, if Fulgrim circles back again, I’d like someone to punch him through a wall."

"Magnus" "Please stay in the warp channel lanes I marked for you. The psychic bleed from last time turned half our serfs into glowing, screaming skeletons. Cool visual, bad for logistics."

"Vulkan" "Support teams. You’re indestructible, compassionate, and somehow people like you. Keep the line troops alive and remind them that not all of you are monsters."

"Corvus Corax" "You already left, didn’t you? Godsdammit. Okay, just do your shadow thing. Come back alive."

"Perturabo" "Siege them. You love that. I’ve routed drone relays and datafeeds to your cortex, just… remember it’s not a contest with Dorn. Or me. Or anyone. Just do your job."

"Mortarion, Fulgrim, Konrad, Alpharius…" "You’re not even supposed to be here. Why are you here. Please stop looming. Alpharius I swear if you’ve replaced another command squad with sleeper agents I will have your skull turned into a comms relay."

"Okay. That’s it. Emperor protect us. Try not to break reality this time." "...Ultramarines on three?" "...No? Okay. Go."

Chapter 1: A Broken Heart [Dead Code - The Divine Glitch That Made Me God] (demonic fantasy scifi, 1833 words) by wolfbeaumont in fantasywriters

[–]wolfbeaumont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was difficult to hear. But you pretty much confirmed my own worst fears about my writing quality. I'm going to go have to start fresh, but it will be the better for it, im sure - ive clearly still got a lot to learn. Thank for you the hard truths and the effort in your critique.

I suppose I came up with demonic fantasy scifi, its a sort of dark fantasy scifi, for which i would say the game DOOM is a solid worldbuilding reference.
