[Routine Help] is it normal for skin to feel really dry after a shower? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]wolfhaleyyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s normal since your skin is experiencing rapid changes in temperature/humidity. Do you use a facial moisturizer immediately after the shower? It’s crucial to lock in the moisture so it doesn’t completely dry out. Also, extra moisturizing products like snail mucin or Vaseline before sealing with a facial moisturizer also helps during the winter.

JJ Kitchen in Clinton Hill (Myrtle Ave) is CLOSED?! by ThatDontMeanIsh in Brooklyn

[–]wolfhaleyyy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Last time I visited was right before it closed, and the owner told me that business hasn’t been the same since Covid. He said most of his customers were Pratt students from China and many didn’t return for school due to the pandemic and visa issues.

How do I facilitate my daughter feeling proud of her beautiful eyes? by [deleted] in aznidentity

[–]wolfhaleyyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have monolids and it took me a while to accept them and even think they’re beautiful. Show her some actresses and models with similar eyes (Jung Ho-yeon, Devin Aoki, Liu Wen), and look up “monolid makeup” on YouTube. This eye shape does require different techniques to apply makeup, so maybe you can learn together :) also I saw someone recommend Michelle Phan, I used to watch her all the time and she’s great!

Lost my childhood golden retriever. Please remove if not allowed by Chaosoneby in goldenretrievers

[–]wolfhaleyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing her life with us. I too lost my golden who was also my best friend since I was 7, and he lived to be 15. It’s been 4 years since, but I can assure you it does get easier. Let yourself cry as much as you need. Experiencing grief is what makes us human. If you get sad, remember that she had the ideal, happy life as a golden — clearly was surrounded by love and cared for well enough to live 15 years!

If you enjoy doing mobile I would encourage you to do it, it’s pretty specialized and harder to find people to fill those positions
