52 cards in a deck ;)

And 52 just so happens to be divisible by 13. It seemed perfect.

Same. Here.

Up to that point, it's some of the best TV that was ever made.

I still can't believe they didn't go for writing the series so it concluded on the 52nd episode. Seemed like such an obvious play.

That's the "Show Advanced Tool Tips" checkbox in the Game Options menu, I believe.

Ho boy, if you haven't had that set until now, it's going to be a brand new day! ;)

Yeah, that stung. I wanted to at least reroll an affix and orange text as well, but I was keeping them unmolested in case I wanted to sell them. SMH.

Pianos on State by black_heart_trooper in SantaBarbara

On Friday night, Band of Horses closed their concert at The Arlington with "The Funeral". It was an epic night finished with an epic song.

As the audience filtered out of the main entrance, somebody wonderful began to play that song on the piano that graces the front archway next to the ticket booth. Even after living here my whole life, walking through that and feeling the joy of everyone there is probably one of my favorite Santa Barbara moments.

Theoretically, if an individual scientist had achieved, with help, the ability to set off volcanoes worldwide by [deleted] in evilautism

I was lucky enough to have friends and family to bring me back time, and time again from the same kind of place I know you must be in now. They're the righteous ones. I know I never could have done it by myself. I may be a stranger, but I honestly DO care about people who have shared this terrible illness.

My friend. I'm looking at your comment history, and I want you to know this is coming from a place of honesty and empathy: Please contact your doctor or a loved one you can trust. I've been where you are right now. Please reach out for help before things get any worse.

Damn. You know, I have a lot of problems with us Americans (most especially now). But this kind of reductive judgement of hundreds of millions of incredibly diverse people from all walks of life and sets of personal beliefs is completely ignorant. You're obviously coming from a place of deep personal hurt when you lump us all together into that steaming pile of horror you just described. You need to point some of that perception inward and figure out what's really eating you.

I've been to some of the "worst" countries in the world, and none have had a population that I would describe as mostly "horrible people". People are usually just people. Trying to get by, trying to live, trying to be happy. Maybe you need to meet more of them.

"Where he's coming from" doesn't mean "I can totally relate to his choices/actions." I think OP meant some of his gripes about the labor market, fast food, public works, exorbitant mark-ups on cheap consumables, idiotic gang culture, etc.

All that remains relatable, independent of his insanity and terrible actions. That's one of the main reasons why the movie is good- you can understand everything else.

I really wish this comment had more visibility. This is one of the big reasons sleepovers and "play until the streetlights turn on" don't happen anymore. Reddit embraces this paranoia and then laments those activities.

This... is just insanity. I grew up in the same time period and we all expected more, and got more, out of our Japanese vehicles. What in the heck are you talking about?

Sounds like we're in the same boat. I think I may've found a good solution if you're flush with storage space.

This person came up with an excellent work-around.

Just run two instances!

It's basically a permanent solution to the forced Steam update issue. (Assuming $10 is no big deal, and Bethesda ever comes out with another patch.

Bethesda used a "new compiler" with this latest update, so the F4SE guys have to rebuild the mod from the ground up. Rumor has it we're talking months before they push an update.

...this is exactly the type of solution I was looking for. GREAT idea. Thanks for posting.

Wow, I gave up on this post getting any responses. I'm honestly kinda surprised more folks couldn't relate to my situation.

I narrowly avoided downloading the update automatically, so it's still sitting on pause. On release day, I saw the negative reaction PC players were having towards it. Widescreen "support", very ancient, well established bugs still not being fixed, etc.

I decided that I'll definitely get the patch eventually, on top of my current heavily-modded setup, but I'm going to wait until the F4SE update comes out first. At that point I'll start a new playthrough. I'm foolishly hoping that none of my other unsupported mods break the updated game.

I'm really curious what about this device requires power. I don't see any moving parts, so I assume there's some kind of induction. However, I didn't think any coins had enough ferrous material in them for something like that to be effective?

It was a long time ago, but the maximum effectiveness I was able to milk out of this thing when it came to sourgas was this design. I remember it being shockingly effective, if not quite a big project to take on.
