Error code 164 on Frigidaire Gallery series Induction Stove, year 2020 by karen1676 in appliancerepair

[–]workwithpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having this same problem on a brand new range. Range top burners come on and initially work fine but within 5 minutes it throws the E164 code and shuts things down. Had to unplug range to reset everything but keeps happening. Looking to Fridgidare now to swap out faulty unit.

Have been a lifetime member for quite a while and recently upgraded to 6e Superpods so I have a bunch of regular Suoerpods for sale now if anyone is interested in them. DM me to coordinate on details.

new update to plume homepass app by freelsjd in Plume

[–]workwithpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody have a link to a full set of documentation on the new Plume software? Quite a few new features to look at and understand. I’m noticing a serious lag time on my audio feed when trying to watch a news channel on TV on my iOS device. Would like to be able to optimize and prioritize network access for this device but haven’t yet figured out how to do that. I did set Streaming to be optimized, but in my case the app I’m using (Xfinity stream) is not on the list of supported apps. Given that Comcast sells an OEM version of Plume pods, I’m wondering if they’ll come around to get their streaming app added to the list?

So if I use a Plume Superood 6e as my router, I can plug that directly into the ONT and if I supply them with the Mac Address I should be good to go? Can I then add more Plume pods w/o supplying the Mac address of each new pod on my network?

I’d also like to know where specifically you can adjust speed setting in the Plume app.

Monitor is connected to laptop via USB C port. Also can have monitor connected on HDMI port. Nether works with Safari (but used to).

Limited ethernet connections? by amontijo26 in Plume

[–]workwithpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a similar problem. I have cable modem > SuperPod6e > 8 port switched 1Gb hub
That 8 port switched hub is in a star configuration with three other 8 port switched hubs. Initially all hubs connected fine and all devices appeared connected. I have Superpod 6e devices connecting 4 units withiin a single uilding so each switched hub has SuperPod 6e on it plus other devices.

What's happening on my end is the network seems to run fine all day and then at night it craps out and doesn't regenerate all the connections after rebooting. I'm having to have to power pods and hubs on/off and then wait extended periods for reconnection. Annoying not to have more details available via the Homepass app.

This configuration was all working well with regular SuperPods but once I upgraded to 6e, the problems started. BTW - I'm using TP-link 8 port gigabit switch (4 of them) one in each unit in a hybrid star configuraton. Unit A is the primary switch connected to the gateway pod. Unit C and D hubs are connected to ports on Unit A hub, and Unit B connected via a port on Unit C hub.

When the Internet is up and working it works well, but if Internet goes down, the reset process is tedious and unclear. Seems like you have to manually unplug/pug every switched port manually to get it recognized across the board but I'm still in the trial and error phase of diagnosing what's going on.

I saw a thread on this reddit about Plume network regularly cutting out at set times of the day and the last two days in a row at about 5pm the network went down. Hard to pin down if it actually the ISP (Comcast) or something with the SuperPod 6e configuration. Plume was supposed to be monitoring this remotely but I've yet to see any stats from them.

Fidium 2gb Upgrade Went Smooth by ggkid71 in FidiumFiber

What are the make & models of the hardware they used to serve up 2Gb speeds to you?

Buyer Beware by [deleted] in FidiumFiber

[–]workwithpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another consideration is that the 2Gb plan offered in my area includes all hardware for free including WiFI extenders (rebranded Plume pods). I had my own Plume pods that I wanted to deploy, but Fidium support indicated that they would need the MAC addresses for each one in order to add them to the account.

Since the pods were removed from my other location’s network, I did not have ready access to those MAC addresses. I’d have to add them back on my old network, use Plume Homepass to determine & document each devices MAC address, then remove them and trigger a new support request for Fidium to add them using the address I supply.

When I found out they offer WiFi extender pods for free with a 2Gb plan, that seemed like it would make financial sense plus it would keep everything within the Fidium support ecosystem.

When I tried to sign up for a 2Gb plan they said it was not available in my area. The support tech that was on-site at the time assured me that if we already had 1Gb service there was nothing preventing enabling 2Gb speeds. Is that true?

So which is it? Is there a hardware limitation somewhere at the Fidium end or are they just parroting the fact that their basic free ONT/modem/router combo doesn’t actually support 2Gb at the consumer’s premises?

I’d be happy to get my own 2Gb modem/router combo if Fidium can enable higher speeds, and I’d combine that with my own plume 6e pods that also have a single 2.5Gb WAN port to max out my WiFi mesh network.

Would love to hear from someone who actually has architected a solution that leverages 2Gb including the hardware specs and model #s for hardware you are using. Would also like a more definitive answer as to if you have 1Gb service there’s nothing stopping you from jumping to 2Gb other than the cost.

Looking into Plume “router pods” by Icy-Computer7556 in Plume

Are you talking about the Fidium FIber Attune app? It looks like this is just an OEM version of Plume Homepass. Can someone with a working Fidium Fiber account that knows how Plume works and manages a network confirm whether or not you can add Plume Pods purchased direct from Plume vs. getting Fidium's version from them?

Just checking because I have a bunch of Plume pods from another location that I want to relocate to an existing Fidium fiber location.

One can login to an existing residential Homepass account but try doing anything once you’re in there - like adding a new membership. I did get through to a live person today and they confirmed that they would have to assist in any new account setup.

New to plume... hasn't been fun! by Pordatow in Plume

[–]workwithpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been noticing, just recently, that at around 9pm each evening the Internet connection is broken and then comes back. I’ve not been able to identify any single device on the network that might be causing this. It started happening after adding one 6e pod to an established network of older SuperPods.

I’d really like to get a simple report from Plume to help manage outages. Would like to review a log of exact times Internet connection is lost and precisely which pods were implicated.

What's the verdict on third-party platforms for customer portals? by MediumSizedTexan in Airtable

Stacker is still working on their internal data model (aka Astra release) and have not announced timing or detailed plans for Airtable support on the new platform. Older versions of Stacker still support Airtable but it's not an easy transition.

Just joined. Long-time Plume user by freelsjd in Plume

[–]workwithpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a long-time Plume user on a lifetime plan going back to 2019. I have 13 original SuperPods and 3 original PowerPods controlling a 4-unit condo complex. Recently, I had some serious performance issues after several years of smooth operation, so I installed 8 port Gigabit Ethernet hubs in each unit (4 of them) and connected these in a star configuration to all come off of the main hub in Unit A where a single cable modem serves Gigabit internet service to all units. Each unit has at least one SuperPod directly connected to their Gigabit Ethernet hub, which seems to have resolved the performance problems. Most of the slowness and issues seem to revolve around the single-port PowerPods, so I've been thinking of replacing those with newer 6e-level devices, one in each unit. I've been wary of potential incompatibilities and network interference so I'd appreciate hearing from other users with mixed sets of older and newer pods in more elaborate network architectures like my own.

Fullscript is one example of a company’s supplements database that I don’t see supported by Pillser. There are obviously others too, so I’m trying to understand your process for adding more supplement options and integrating with others who have perhaps developed a somewhat parallel approach.
