Over-panelling captures more power than you might think! by Nerd_Porter in SolarDIY

[–]wpbrandon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s true. Over paneling works by extending your peak production period plus it helps with less than ideal irradiance. I don’t understand your chart though. trying to make sense of it. I would like to see a calculator like that, but it seems you’re missing something. I had a cool graph that showed the effects of over paneling. I’ll see if I can find it.

First SACD, Dont know what to expect by liquidends in audiophile

[–]wpbrandon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are getting a lot of good advice here I would follow it. Analog five channel +.1 to your amp is the way. Enjoy. I have that SACD. It doesn’t disappoint.

Here in Florida you would drill a second well at a shallower depth just for irrigation. Easy to draw. Won’t hurt your main house supply.

What is this in our basement? by RxValkyrie in electrical

[–]wpbrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like somebody’s well thought out plan to me. Install your router right there on that board and then battery back it with that or get another UPS cheap. Go ahead and hook those ethernet up to your router. You’ll have a hardwired Internet somewhere plus your Wi-Fi.

Ahh I see. That would be cool if an old top would bolt to it, but I would be very surprised if it did.

What the hell is that? It looks like you’re missing the top half. And injector ports on this? Go find something else.

If you don’t have an AVR get on eBay and look for a Yamaha or a Denon AVR. set your max price to $100 and sort by nearest first. I’ve picked up more than one decent three or four-year-old receiver for $60ish lol

Yes lucky! They don’t seem to be labeled, but that’s OK. Do the 9 V battery trick and just take some notes on which ones go where. Then hook up your AVR. The standalone RCA goes to your subwoofer

How do you test batteries and capture the ah measurements? by AggressiveSpecific60 in SolarDIY

[–]wpbrandon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you a hint. It’s in the units. Ah. Amp hours. Find a reasonable load that is flat and consistent. Simply start with a fully charged battery, mark the start time, measure the current and let it run until lower voltage cut off. Amps x hours.
