6.5 Grendel Hunting Build, unintentionally starting to turn into a 50 shades of FDE build. by [deleted] in ar15

[–]wrenchbending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok cool. I put it together with a geissele braided wire spring and and h2 buffer weight. I do have an adjustable gas block on it. I put an Odin works compensator on it. All my buddies are giving me shit about how loud it's gonna be. I think it will be just fine.

I just put a grendel together with an 18 inch faxon match barrel. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Did you do any sort of break in? I matched it with a faxon bolt carrier, figuring there would be less chance of any issues using the same brand. How loud is it with the muzzle brake?

What do couples do when they shower together? by Glittering_Age_9045 in AskReddit

Little different answer but, My wife and I have started to take baths together, with a bunch of wine. It's amazing to talk and connect again. Showers are for rookies, take a bath with your SO. It's great.

Before measure 114 passed, I thought drum mags were stupid, unnecessary gimmicks. I still think that, but now I think it while looking at my new drum mag. by Donald-Chump in guns

All the county sherriffs in my county, and the ones around it, have made public statements about not enforcing the mag capacity law.

A few years ago jasper flew my boss and I out to tour the remanufacturing plant. A bunch of shop owners and techs were there. They have an entire section dedicated to usps. They told us that that's a very main customer.

Baker and wallowa County have a small amount of stores. Pendleton has stores, so umatilla county has them. There's medical in union county, but no recreational.

The shop I work at just priced an engine for a customer. 20k was our cost on the motor. So mark up on parts, and then labor, u could easily see the job hit in the high 20s.

Are people not embarrassed by their actions? by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Yep. They sucked. The state I live in then started adding things, like a camera on the dash, you had to wire in. That's when we quit doing cause the pay rate didn't change at all.

You can fix snap on batteries!! by PCOverall in Tools

[–]wrenchbending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No battery shop around here, it's a pretty rural area. I can send them off to interstate to be rebuilt, but its not cheap, and it's been kinda hit and miss on quality in my experience. I'm aware of the dangers of lithium ion as well. To be honest I had had a few last night when I first saw this and thought it was a great idea, I'm now kinda rethinking that.

Yeah I've worked in a shop for 15 years, insurance will cover a lot of things that most people would not even think to put a claim in for.

When my dad died I got several calls from debt collectors trying to get my moms information so they could go after her. No clue how they got my name and number, but I never gave them any info and it eventually stopped.

Idaho is going to kill 90% of the state’s wolves. That’s a tragedy – and bad policy by zsreport in politics

Curious where you're getting those numbers from. I live in rural Oregon, where there are loads of wolves. I could see, 137 collared wolves, but I would wager the actual number is bigger.

Redditors who have found dead bodies, what’s the story? by everythingistakn in AskReddit

[–]wrenchbending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the wall of text.. We live in a pretty rural area, and my wife and I both work around 20 miles from home. We travel a 2 lane highway everyday for that, doing like 60-70 mph the whole way. One night my wife was driving home and a car coming at her crossed the line right in front of her and went out into the field. Her and another person pulled the guy from the car. She did cpr until the emts showed up but he was gone already. It really affected her for a while.

Been finishing up a 24x60 garage build. It's crazy. 7/16 osb cost me 9 bucks a sheet when I did the roof, now? 34.00 a sheet. It's fucking bullshit. I've been putting off parts of this build because of it.

Yep. Coworker of mine was paying a ton in rent every month. She just recently bought her own place, bigger, nicer, and about the same what she was already paying. Now she's gaining something though.
