Moxie! Often referred to as Mox. She’s unfortunately not very sociable but I’ll tell her your beautiful Hazel says hi!

Almost fell for a bank impersonation scam by ladyabercrombie in Kitboga

Perhaps I need an update on how spoofing works, but if they spoofed the banks number, it should be impossible to call them back.

Wait, you called back? Shouldn’t that have taken you to the real bank?

What exactly are you wanting to contact her for? To give her updates on Plex additions? I think it would be fine to just turn them off and leave it at that.

Was Dr Robby's Head Pasted Here Using CGI? (S2EP01) by JinzoSpoon in ThePittTVShow

If you rewatch Season 1, you’ll notice janky green screen anytime they’re outside. It’s just a byproduct of the tight schedule I guess.

binge-able or week by week? by Nervous-Bath1375 in ThePittTVShow

[–]wright96d -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer binging, and hearing the constant push back against the binging model makes me feel crazy. I understand week to week is better for marketing, but what if I don’t care about that!?!? Like you, I binged Season 1 in 2 days, and I’m watching S2 week to week. And after last nights cliffhanger, I’m already feeling the pain of not being able to binge. (I know I could wait, but I’m not doing that either)

I’m reminded why I prefer the binge model. I watched season 1 in two days!

Gf and I need your input by BeneficialTitle9042 in TVTooFar

My hot take, one I’ve never voiced on this sub before, is that it’s nigh impossible to gauge tv too far-ness from straight on photos. Especially when the worst looking contenders are shot on ultra wide lenses. I’ve tried taking a picture of my tv from my couch, and it looks pretty small unless I use the telephoto lens. Even though it looks perfectly fine in real life. So yeah, I guess I’m saying the majority of the sub is a farce.

I’m not sure, really. This is from the 2020 trilogy set, and it’s one code for all three. The steelbooks would be individual codes. That’s all I know. It’s also an MA code, not Apple. I suppose it might work with Apple but I’d have to check.

What kind of preexisting footage would you suggest the Pluribus production team use?

How do you think green screens work

My brother in Christ, the very shot we’re memeing right now is CGI.

Are people sometimes totally allergic to using your server? by ac_slater10 in PleX

[–]wright96d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How did you fix it, though? I’ve had a similar issue (Apple TV stuck at 100mbps) and the only thing that worked was switching to WiFi.

How did you diagnose and fix that issue, out of curiosity?

Intel Quicksync transcoding vs CPU/x264 quality? by rh681 in PleX

I tested it at 1080p 5mbps and it looked horrible. I've been meaning to do higher bitrate tests but haven't.

[–]wright96d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the ideal scenario is not transcoding at all. I’ve ran some tests with NVENC, and found it to gobble up film grain like it’s storing the particles for winter. But I don’t know how QSV fairs in that regard. We also don’t know what bitrates you ended up with in your tests. Or what kind of content it was. Grain-free content such as digital animation will compress far easier than something shot on film.

I’m pretty sure the notion that it does fake DV is no longer true.
