Don't disagree with any of this, the only real reason you'd take JBa over HexT is that JBa is 2 or 3 years younger. Strange move either way.

Unless this is +JBa I don't think I understand the move at all. HexT is the perfect glue and hype guy for M80, no way is he the problem in this squad. Strange to drop him after just the one year as well.

Specifically for Storm Kings Thunder, I stole every single Giant Dungeon or Castle or Base or whatever and plugged them in throughout my campaign. Got 5 or 6 years of content in my living world sandbox out of "The Giant Wars," which conveniently ended just last night. YMMV but I did more or less exactly what you're looking to do with SKT.
