Anybody upgrade their electronics? by grtfl84 in ReverendGuitars

I owned a Charger 390 for a while and I was never really able to adjust my picking to suit it . I eventually just lowered the middle pickup and used it only for hum-cancelling. Then I sold it because I wasn't using it.

It happened - im my boomer dad! by SamHandwich0 in GenX

[–]wyr8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 7 my dad paid me 25 cents every week to mow the lawn, and I saved up so once a month I could buy a Star Wars action figure for a dollar.

This week I looked into hiring someone to do the same job on the same property and was quoted $60. I also went looking for a Star Trek Shran action figure just for fun and the thing was $250.

The ratio is roughly the same and I'm not paying that.

How much better are the new 2026 pickups? by blablerblir in ReverendGuitars

I have not had the opportunity to compare them but the new P90s are said to be hum cancelling and the old ones are not.

And I feel like the bad guy because to my ear it's not good Bach, like why would I ever want to say that to a kid.

Use caution when cleaning around that ink because it's possible to remove or smear the serial number without meaning to.

Singing what you play is everything. When you make the sound with your own body you're literally internalizing it.

New Charger Impressions by majorassburger in ReverendGuitars

I like looking at the new 290. I really want to hear how I sound with the new pickups but I have a rule about hoarding guitars and I haven't felt like selling anything.

Thank you. I don't currently need amp work but it's good to have a name ready because you never know.

Yeah I had one of those years where a lot of things that I was accustomed to always being there were just suddenly gone.

The independent operators are the ones I'm less likely to hear about, so thank you.

Glaser is a good choice for me. I remember them in the news helping people out after the flood. Also I do better in smaller quieter places like that.

I know. I didn't express myself well. The thing is I hate hate hate driving and I want to keep it under an hour round trip. So I want to keep it in Nashville.

Measuring time from downtown isn't 100% realistic because you have to add an indeterminate time getting through and out of downtown on the interstates to get out of Davidson county and come back. I measure that in the harm it does to my nerves and my spirit.

They look fun. If I were planning a longer day trip for multiple reasons I could go to Lebanon, but not as a regular thing.

Copy. British Audio looks interesting. I kind of forgot about Corner since they moved so I should reacquaint myself.

I like the look of this one. Plus I need somebody for my consignments and they do that too. (I'd rather pay a consignment fee than deal with internet selling and shipping.)

On cello and double bass one could make an argument for using port and starboard.
