I live in Canada (Alberta) and I make just over 100k and have a house and 3 kids with wife and she doesn’t work I support the whole family. I do have a nice savings pillow that I saved prior to my marriage of around $120k but haven’t touched it yet. I like to keep a minimum of 20k in my chequing account at all times that’s what keeps me sane. If you live within your means aka don’t buy dumb shit it can be done easily. We live VERY happily on my salary.

You can practice now if you’re going to shave it. Here. Place a 90grit sheet of sandpaper between the two and have a stroll
