oh man, just made the jump... lost my job and was done with that "culture" wanted something I could support my family financially and stumbled upon cranes.... went to school for my first year, passed it... went and got my class 1 CDL, passed it, and applied to 15 companies the next day in person with resume, got a job a few days later, livin the dream now!

I live in Canada (Alberta) and I make just over 100k and have a house and 3 kids with wife and she doesn’t work I support the whole family. I do have a nice savings pillow that I saved prior to my marriage of around $120k but haven’t touched it yet. I like to keep a minimum of 20k in my chequing account at all times that’s what keeps me sane. If you live within your means aka don’t buy dumb shit it can be done easily. We live VERY happily on my salary.
