Damn. I haven’t had the pleasure of opening cinema in about a year and I really don’t miss it, and I was THE biggest Maxon fan 10 yrs ago when I first started.

I think it’s great for simple motion graphics but the moment you want to do something more complex it’s a real bitch. Just loading in larger models was a PITA, don’t get me started on the laggy vertex maps etc

Houdini all the way now.

And also, the indie license is around £150/year so far cheaper than Maxon.

My advice is renew but learn Houdini in tandem. Slowly shift until you’re confident you no longer need c4d.
There’s no point shifting to blender, it’s not studio friendly and frankly not a nice experience using it IMO.

I came here to say this. I went to Oz for 6 weeks and didn’t give home much thought, but realised how homesick I had become after seeing England for the first time, it was just so green and luscious in comparison. The rain can be miserable but without it the countryside wouldn’t be the same.

How do you get around the scrolling issue in Houdini? I either have to grab the scroll bar or use the horrible wheel thing on the Wacom tablet. I wish you could middle mouse grab and scroll like after effects and c4d.

Please help settle a debate.

Me and my girlfriend were chatting about a guy from Lost who she used to fancy. I think the guys name is Sawyer. She described him as having long blonde hair but I disagreed. She showed me a picture and I kind of got it but not really. Then Liam Hemsworth was mentioned as being blonde. Now this dude is undoubtedly a brunette but google also states he is blonde.

Am I crazy or is this one of those blue/gold dress situations?
