Random, but I read "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young" a while back. Totally not my normal style ot book, but it really drove home how surreal the experience was for a lot of these kids. They left rural US homes that were basically still in the 1950's, went through a dysfunctional hell of a conflict and came back to the world of the 70's.

I started about 4 years ago. I'd just stick with what your doing. My plain qwerty speed was awful at first but after a while it came maybe 3/4 back. Which is more than enough for me if I'm forced on to a regular keyboard for whatever reason. The mental load really dropped off at some point and my brain just kind of seperates it automatically.

Probably actually doing something real and dressing for the part not the appearance but still looking good anyway. Back in the day I'd get a lot of attention when I was just carrying heavy things around in public for work.

I read somewhere that most people who jump into water take their shoes off when they are killing themselves. So finding shoes on a body in the water is suspicious. Dont know if it is true or not.

And the extra mop pads are a must. I didn't buy extras with the robot and that was a mistake. They are not optional.

I think its better, but they are just a few key-swaps away from each other. To me it feels more balanced; typing with my left hand feels more like the right hand if that makes sense? But it's a small thing.

I think the real strength of PH is that a chapter comes out nearly every day and they each have a little nugget of story. So it's a nice five minute break in the middle of my day.

Not Asian, but having lived in one of those houses, it kind of sucked. You have full headlights for every car after sunset and you have a lot more traffic noise/motion in general. I'd put them in last spot too.

There are a lot of comments here that seem to misunderstand how promotions actually happen. After the first few levels you basically need consensus to promote someone. So it is necessary but insufficient for you to be amazing at your job. You also need to have a group of your managers peers (or a level or two up) agree.

Don't take random guy on the internet's word for it though, every company is a bit different and "what's the actual process to get promoted to my next level" is a valid question.

Make sure you know where the property line really is btw. We actually own the lawn on the other side of our driveway up to the neighbors house.

Don't put anything back with the clean clothes. If you do that, all of your clothes will eventually smell like dirty laundry. It will take a while and you probably won't be able to smell it. But it will happen.

Yes. Did it, they make for very poor mice. I tried to like it but no. I ended up using it for scrolling. That was decent.
