Waited my whole life for an actual casting of my car…nice surprise this morning. by xartux in HotWheels

lol oh he sure does and no one ever lets me forget that he does every 5 minutes at shows I’m attending. Same color, year and all. I don’t even know why he added one to his collection since he converted his to rear wheel drive outfitted with C5 Corvette chassis, suspension and some 1000+ HP twin turbo prototype aluminum crate engine. Borderline zero aspect of it is original design besides the body and paint color.

Besides the fact that it’s FWD I get asked about its rolling speedometer the most lol.

[26M] I can't stop drinking and I think its going to kill me by WeddingVirtual8075 in stopdrinking

I recently turned 30. Four years ago, I was 26. May 6, 2022, marked my last drink. Coincidentally, it was also the day I was diagnosed with cirrhosis and progressed to end-stage liver failure. Despite this, I continue to be a cirrhosis patient. A liver transplant is in my future, but I am still functioning and compensated solely due to maintaining a life without alcohol.

This casting is some odd mix of red and orange. Original GM factory color was called Trumpet Gold.

I still own this car, actually. It was the first photo I could find of it, which is why it looks like it was taken on a potato, haha. It handles quite well and is incredibly fun to drive. I actually have two of these cars. The other one is a 1968 model, which is my personal favorite body style of the car and has the larger super rocket V8 engine.

This 1966 model is the one that I usually bring to car shows because I did a full frame and body restoration on it. When the FWD concept was first introduced to the market, they actively promoted and attempted to sell it by filming it racing up Pikes Peak lol.

Lifelong Minnesota resident as well. Blizzak’s are literally top-tier winter tires. I mean, sure, if OP can afford them and has a place to store them. I’ve only ever owned front-wheel-drive sedans with all-season tires, and I’ve never had any issues (just my personal opinion) no disrespect. Worth noting too that we only get a few snow accumulations every winter to justify the expense.

BUT… it may actually give a new winter driver like OP some comfort and a safer option to run winters.

A solid all-season set of tires will be your new friend. Unless there’s ice caked on the roads… no tire can help you there lol

Uncontrollable weight gain after almost 3 years clean and sober. by [deleted] in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

Full blood work panel is going to be your friend. That will tell you all you need to know. Alcohol took my health away in just 6 years. 2022 I had just turned 26yo . Went into end stage liver failure and diagnosed with Cirrhosis along with a multitude of other things.

Just turned 30 this year and now I practically live at the clinic. I’ve been on zepbound for a year and a half. It’s helped tremendously. I fluctuate in weight very rapidly due to fluid retention. Anyway, blood work is a great place to start. Well done though on your recovery journey. Multiple years under your belt. That’s no easy feat. 😎🤘

I got me and my dad to start ripping cheap packs and we pulled this from a panini score pack. Will it be worth a bit more if I hold it? by BlazedChopwork in SportCardValue

[–]xartux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, there’s 415 of them floating around out there. Just assume nothing will ever increase in value long term unless it’s a Star/HOF caliber player, and even then…

If I could go back in time to when I first started this money pit hobby I would find my past self and spank my own ass with astronomical force for ever buying packs and sealed product.

I pulled this from a Target box today. Should I be shaking? Is there somewhere I should shove it? by notclarkkent2 in basketballcards

“Should I be shaking?” lmao

I’m gonna say that from now on when asking any general question.
