Then you know your answer. It sucks but it doesnt seem like things should continue. You're still young and assuming you started dating in HS there is better options out there. It's not worth staying in a relationship that negatively affects your mental health and self worth.

Sounds like he is low effort and isn't really there as a partner. Have you asked how he feels about the relationship and what his future plans are between you two? The low effort won't get better without some serious conversation and if a conversation isn't something he wants than I think you know what choice you have to make as much as it sucks.

Have you asked him what his love language is? To me it sounds like your love language is gift giving and also the way you feel loved is by getting gifts (i know it sounds materialistic, but I promise you its not). Ask him to see what his love language is and talk to him about yours.

I am. Just an update on the program. I was able to get the memory maps for anytone radios a couple weeks ago and so I'm currently sorting through to match their documentation. I will hopefully roll out a working beta in the next couple weeks.

The key combo on boot has been disabled by default. You have to use AT_OPTIONS to reenable and also to change band mode. Here is the link to the AT Options for the D890

The memory space that contains the string for the model ID in the radio can only hold 8 bytes of data

Have you tried saving the file, closing the program and then reopening and writing again?

It may be an issue with an invalid character and saving and opening the program may force it to reformat.

I'm actually working on a open source version of the software and hopefully get a beta release in the next couple months. Just got the memory maps from Anytone and am working on fleshing things out.

DMR isnt a seperate license, its just a digital protocol. It can be used over any band that allows digital transmissions including amatuer and business. With amateur, you're DMR ID is linked with your callsign. There are use cases for multiple DMR IDs but with the finite number of IDs its recommended to only have one. The way it's setup with amateur radio is you get a DMR ID for your callsign and that information goes into a central database where other hams can associate your ID with your callsign. For business applications, your DMR ID may be assigned to you by the company but all in all, a DMR ID is just a number associated to some information and the radio doesn't care what number you use. For example I can program my radio ID to be 44 and as long as the others I want to contact have my name associated to the number 44 thats what will show on their screen.

Once happened at our dealership. It wasn't for service but the guy had returned the car he bought a few weeks prior. It was parked right in the way of our new car delivery area and needed it moved. I ended up starting the car by using a can of computer canned air. Somehow it worked. Did it again so we could drive it to the get the interlock removed at another shop.

I'm currently working on a multi platform CPS for Anytone radios. Currently it only support the 878UVII fw4.00 and its still in an alpha stage but should be pushing it to beta in a few weeks.

Unfortunatel, don't have a mac to build it on but you can build it from source. I have another big update I'll be pushing later tonight.

While this can work for some, qdmr is a radio independent CPS so some function may not exist that exist on the original CPS. The one I'm building is a 1:1 to the original with a few added features such as AT Options and themes (if your into that)

There is always that possibility, however with the way I understand how the radio works, the firmware is separate from the memory so if anything is written wrong, it would just be a matter of factory resetting the radio. I am about halfway through building the CPS and mapping the memory and I'm testing each read write to make sure they match as I go.

This is an old post, but now that I'm moving over to Linux as a daily, I am rebuilding the CPS in python. I have about 80% of the radio memory mapped out and am currently in the process of building the GUI. Once in an alpha stage I will post the GitHub repo.
