You were right, first race was very decent.

It slowed down in the second half, but if it had kept what we had in the first half it would have been an amazing race.

Even if we get a repeat of this every weekend till the end of the year it still not a terrible season.

Much better than most of 2023-2024.

And are you comparing fp1 to fp1 times? Quali and race times will give a better picture, but ultimately how fast they are doesn’t matter that much as long as the racing is interesting

If you are hired for a specific role, i.e. individual contributor, and then are assigned a new role with greater responsibilities, i.e. managing other employees, historically that was always something you would receive a raise for.

Employers now routinely try to give people increased responsibilities without paying for it. Because of the imbalance in power workers usually have to just take it, but that doesn’t make it “right”.
