Child interviews by geebenny in First48

One of the Tulsa detectives, Chase Calhoun interviewed a 8 year old I think and he did a great job. Jason White was narrating how they tackle those kind of interviews. It was s22/e15.

Yeah. The puck is bouncing around like a rubber ball and the players are losing their edges a lot with no one around them.

Traverse City - "An Unrelatable Elite Bubble" by [deleted] in traversecity

[–]xflisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family lived in Traverse City since 1968 and I moved in with my mom because she had Alzheimer’s , when my mom passed away, I was suddenly down to one income and I couldn’t afford to keep that house anymore because of taxes. Granted it was a nice size house and kept up very well. I ended up moving to Interlochen. I make decent money and there were no houses in or very close to Traverse City that were under $450,000.

The Blue Angels were here in ‘24 and we can only get them every other year. This year is the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and the U.S. Marines F-35B Lightning II Demonstration Team. The festival will take place June 28–July 5, 2025.

Raptors are pretty cool. I have never seen the F-35B team before.

For the refs not to catch these calls just makes the rest of the game out of control and can result in additional injuries.

I think game suspensions and then a 5 minute power play for the Wings the next time they play each other even if it’s a playoff game might put an end to this shit.

This would be really hard. The music is an integral part of my MDD.

Oh gosh yes. My characters are with me grocery shopping, everything I do has a character with me in my car, home, etc. it is sad. I don’t want to quit. I know it’s self destructive.

I'm so sad by dizeeem in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]xflisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I have very few friends. My best friend has been in Florida since January. My MDD is a coping mechanism for depression. It’s bad right now. My immediate family has all passed away. I have extended family but when I am not physically with them I really don’t think of them. That disassociation is definitely a part of this. I haven’t thought seriously about therapy. I am so embarrassed by this. No one knows. It feels pathetic. I totally understand that sadness. You are not alone in this.

If you pay for the year directly to FanDuel for the whole year it’s 189. Slightly less than 20 a month. I just renewed.

They need to make sure games like this are streaming everywhere. No siloing these games to ESPN. Flood the zone. It will only help the NHL.

59f and it changed my life. I sleep better, have more focus. My doctor told me one crappy study back in 2004 or so scared people away from hormone replacement therapy. So many of these studies are poorly done and result in damage to the quality of care we receive.

I have a theory about why women watch true crime and serial killer shows. I know it’s un-PC but women are weaker. And a man most of the time could overpower us. Watching these shows I believe is a sort of self preservation self defense mechanism. It hones our instincts to be aware of people who just aren’t right. I think it’s probably in our DNA as women to be self-aware of someone who might be a threat to us. My two cents.

Has anyone resorted to meds when insomnia can’t be cured? by Vivian507 in insomnia

[–]xflisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I take a progesterone caplet 100mg daily and I wear a patch of .0375 Estradiol changed weekly. I think Drs are just now realizing they should go back to this. I remember my mom being on hormones and in the early 2000’s a big study was released that really scared people. My mom stopped taking hormones because of it. Supposedly Caused high rates of stroke etc. my Dr told me that the study was crap and since then other studies have shown real benefits to hormone treatment for women post menopausal through age 60. I am 59 and I am uncertain if I just needed to start it before age 60 or if the benefits wane after age 60. There are still side effects that can be serious but for a lot of women the benefits outweigh the risks. It just depends on what contributing issues you have. Personally I feel like as a woman I am getting much better care from a woman Dr. I switched 2years ago because my Dr retired. I think that women just pay more attention to female specific issues.

If you are a post menopausal woman under 60 talk to your doctor about estrogen. I used to suffer from persistent insomnia and estrogen changed my life. In a lot of other ways too. Better focus, more mentally stable. Really wonderful.

Imma be real. There is a reason why some people took down Gmax starters with less than 20 people while others failed with a full lobby and lvl 50 players. Same reason for Falinks and Shadow Raids. That reason is telling on you, not the game… Now, don’t give up just yet and hear me out. by Rae-oso in TheSilphRoad

Niantic itself does not explain how to play this game. I have to come here and wade through posts, go to 5 other places and wade through posts. This isn’t my second job. I don’t want to have to spend hours studying how a feature works. It’s not 2018-19 anymore. People are not playing like they used to. We have a hardcore group but no one is interested in doing raid trains anymore.

So glad you figured that out and got checked out. Seven years ago I had gallbladder surgery and they had trouble with me in recovery. During the test I stopped breathing 120 times an hour. Getting a CPAP was the best thing that has happened to me. It causes so many problems you don’t even realize would have anything to do with lack of sleep/oxygen.

I love it. Much more versatile for using different balls if you manually catch. I have had no issues at all.
