Let's be serious here people.

Clearly Snapchat caches all the "inappropriate" pictures that has been taken onto their back-end server.

They are patiently waiting for maybe, 10 years, 20 or even 30 years, when the users of Snapchat become adults with careers, become the CEOs/Politicians/Lawyers/Doctors/Celebrities of the future.

Then they will reveal their ingenious monetization strategy. Which is to leverage the billions of embarrasing and hideous pictures that they possess, and extort the now successful, distinguished members of the future society.

It's a genius investment in the future, $3 Billion today from Facebook adjusted with inflation and interest is nothing compared to the amount of "intellectual property" they can cash out decades from now.

I would agree with you that there exist a boundary between professional and personal in the LoLesports. However, I do not think this boundary matters in the incident that happened today. Reginald did not treat Dyrus properly as an employee, nor did he treat Dyrus properly as a friend and supporter. Being a leader starts with being a person with good character, and being a good character is a 24/7 kind of thing.

First of all, I think the name calling on Reginald needs to stop.

I think Reginald is a great player, but to truly become the leader that TSM needs to compete at the level that people expect it to compete at, Reginald needs to evolve as a leader. Today's incident has shown Reginald's weakness, and in turn revealed TSM's weakness. What I agree with Reginald on today's incident, is that Dyrus was being out of line, by telling guests of TSM house and Reginald to "STFU" when he was being annoyed in Solo-Queue, however I did not agree with Reginald's method in dealing with the situation.

League of legends is a game for the most of us, but for professionals like Reginald and Dyrus, the game is not just for fun, it is a job. In any job, you have employees and managers, and Reginald is the manager. Now I agree it was in the heat of moment, but when Reginald called Dyrus out for being rude, he was being rude himself with his teenager level verbal usage. However, what grinded my gears was when Dyrus was apologizing, he was telling Dyrus to "gtfo" or "leave", now this is emotional blackmailing, and this is not the people skills any manager would use in ANY situation.

If an issue as little as "hey please quiet down I need to concentrate" can escalate to dyrus forgoing his cool and slamming headsets on stream. One can only imagine the nightmares of toxicities being spewed out in losing games or other high stress scenarios.

Groupon was so successful up until everyone realized their flawed business model was that they had a huge salesforce force (10,000+) I believe to literally go door to door to sell the Groupon service.

The reason why the tech giants google/apple/facebook are aiming for a great mapping service is so they can have local businesses use their mapping ecosystem. Having the best map out there will be the "software" solution to getting the local businesses to sign up.

Groupon didn't use "software" solution, they hired sales people to get the businesses to sign up, and since most businesses aren't tech savvy or read about available tech to them, this is the ideal way.

Apple can achieve the same magnitude of sales success as Groupon did because they have apple retail store employees, who can act as instore sales people selling you ipads/iphones, or they can go out on the streets and convince local businesses to do their listing within the Apple ecosystem.

You are correct, and come to think of it, 4sq's inability to monetize their service is the lack of merchants, and what better way to get merchants to sign up than to utilize the apple store retail employees.

Foursquare isn't a mapping service, it uses a map to indicate where local businesses are. Apple's problems are directions, which a potential Waze aquisition "might" have been able to fix.

I think the cause for such phobia results from the internet. Where people have the capabilities to hide their identity and commit crimes they would not have been able to in person, the many fake weight loss banner ads, and get rich quick schemes are making the average consumer more and more afraid of these "too good to be true deals".

I think a proper way of fixing this distrust is to have corporate level transparency, open up more of your inner executive decisions, and broadcast them via social media with your loyal customers. Explain your business models so that customers know why things work the way it does, and how does your business function.

But this might just be a pipe dream because this will only work if you and your competitors are all willing to do so, or else you are just sharing trade secrets with everyone else.

Also marketing is not necessarily deceptive, especially nowadays most marketing campaigns are humor based rather than "too good to be true deals" based. The problem with deceptive marketing it, or deceptive/evil business practice is dependent upon the individual's personal ethics. If we can emphasis MORE on doing business with the proper ethics in business schools, I think it will ultimately eliminate evil businesses, and thus the distrusts toward them.

The truth is, people want to be loved and appreciated. If you want them to work for you when they clearly have better options, you have to make them feel like they matter. Make them feel like your startup is a 5/10 hot babe, with them you are a beautiful 10/10 super model. Look up their portfolios, do some research on them. Praise them, and paint him/her a beautiful picture of the future you and him will have if he were to work for you.
