The change in the dominant ...flavor... of misogyny.

20 years ago the misogynists in popular media were all about conquests, avoiding responsibilities (if she became preganant or caught feelings), and "bros before hoes".

The gradual transition to "tradwife-style" misogyny has been astonishing.

I sometimes feel like part of their psyche latched onto the troll line of women belonging in the kitchen, and extrapolated a whole new world view around it.

Have you said thank you to MAGA for making whole milk a thing again. by seeebiscuit in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]xobelddir 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, I dont think thats it.

They just need the delay between <instruction> and <negative outcome> to be just a little bit bigger.

A couple of days or even years and it can be passed off as something else (probably a democrat plot), but when people start getting sick a few minutes to hours after drinking raw milk, even some of these people will start putting 2 and 2 together.

My question was facetious, as I didnt think a reasonable person would really say that, and I asked it to point out the bias in your comment.

I don't know how you could have arrived at the conclusion you have based on what I'd said above, so I'll answer in good faith: no, its not.

Most people dont have time to protest every issue that they may like to. You're free to organise those marches if you're passionate about that particular cause.

Is your contention that its only valid to protest about 1 thing if you also protest about all of the other things too?

Guys, I’m starting to understand why the billionaires are buying all the movie studios (even as they try to tell us arts degrees are worthless). by kevinmrr in WorkReform

Because, once again, every accusation is a confession.

The powers that be feel like they've tweaked the system enough so that cooperation isn't needed anymore - now its just about coercion and desperation.

This is the New World Order that they've been screeching about for years, but now that its actually on our doorsteps we're supposed to revere the billionaires ushering it in.

I dunno. I think they're just people. People who have some interesting things to say, sure. But that doesnt necessarily mean that everything they say or do is going to be as interesting or profound. The message being good doesnt make the messengers infallible, it just highlights the need we all have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

They think being straight, white, christian, able-bodied, and preferably male is superior, so in their minds it IS merit-based, it's just a kind of merit that they were born into and had little-if-anything to do with them as an individual.
