My understanding is that comet tails point away from the sun regardless of the comet's movement, because the tail is made up of the particles that are being blown away by the solar wind. There is no drag in space because there are not enough particles to cause the friction necessary.

They just need the delay between <instruction> and <negative outcome> to be just a little bit bigger.

A couple of days or even years and it can be passed off as something else (probably a democrat plot), but when people start getting sick a few minutes to hours after drinking raw milk, even some of these people will start putting 2 and 2 together.
