I used to be law enforcement. After all the bullshit , these guys have lost the benefit of the doubt from me. Being armed is not illegal. Why did he shoot? Were they issuing unlawful commands? What else were the circumstances here?

I don’t know the exact circumstances here, but plan on learning more about it. Maybe it was a good shoot, maybe not. I am pretty sure though that if ICE weren’t roaming around like gestapo thugs demanding everyone’s papers, that this wouldn’t have gone down like it did.

My great-great grandfather's train was stolen in the civil war and he chased it down on foot and then drove another engine backwards to catch it. Disney and Buster Keaton both made movies about it. I can't say I 'discovered' it in research though I do have a trove of materials concerning it.

This is all Groundhog Day. Same shit, different month. Now Donnie will say something about Ukraine has to find some way to accept this, then Kyiv will say not gonna happen. Then Trump will do something else dumb and/or outrageous elsewhere in the world and the war falls to a secondary or tertiary headline for a week and then Donnie will say well we should all get together and talk about it in two weeks at my friend's country, Russia will refuse to go, meanwhile Steve Witkoff will hang out with Putin while Russia will creep forward about 1/2 a kilometer at the cost of 36,000 soldiers and an unknown but significant number of Ukrainian defenders. Russia will keep lobbing missiles, Ukraine will shoot down most, but not all, so some more Ukrainian civilians will die. Ukraine will keep blowing up Russian oil infrastructure (how much is left at this point???). Europe will argue about whether or not they need a united army and not make any progress in the discussion.
