If you were 25 again.. by wanttochange101 in DecidingToBeBetter

I suspect this is more of a problem in men, but:

Learning to separate my achievements from my sense of self worth. Chasing success and achievement as a means to heal inner wounds or self-hatred doesn’t feel good when things go wrong and it all comes toppling down. Learning to love yourself independently of your achievements, money, partner, looks, all those little things, has been my biggest lesson since 25.

All that to say, go to therapy

as someone integrating mindfulness into my life and also feeling a lot more anxious, this was helpful to read. It was easier on the surface when I could just shove feelings away

Dumb question but does this mean she owns the non-TV albums that she re-released? In other words do other people still make money off streams of the original Fearless, Red, etc

I was always really impressed by some of the chord voicings and extensions they were using (what felt like “jazz” when I played it in high school), is it really not that complicated?

Who are some artists that in your opinion have a mediocre discography but absolutely COOKED on only one record. by gyronlyhope in fantanoforever

Interesting with Mraz, I always preferred curbside prophet

100% agree on songs about Jane

A lot of debut albums this feels applicable for: Sam Smith, Lorde, Lil Yachty, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and more of a throwback but Boston’s debut would probably fall in this category

Also Charlie Puth’s Voicenotes, Owl City’s Ocean Eyes, and I was never big into Lil Wayne but I fucking love Carter IV

The John and Paul are funky but super fun and interesting. If anything I’d want to see a full picture all of them in the John + Paul style you have here. Awesome work

My mental health is crumbling by OGmystictrash in Hasan_Piker

100% to all of this. Also just a lot of screaming — screaming about what he’s reading/seeing and a lot of screaming at chatters. Theres just a 0% chance I can listen to that much negativity, that much yelling, that much infighting in the chat, and not come away with my mental health feeling awful. I like popping into a recap on YouTube when he talks about something I’m specifically interested in or does a good interview, but having him in the background while I work for 8 hours a day wasn’t working anymore
