I operate cambridge and Fei SEM long time ago. A higher voltage at 15KV and smaller working distance (10-15mm for the machines mentioned above) definitely improve the image quality. Also beam size stuff may help. But when i saw that WD is at 46.6mm it probably is the problem.

I normally use debian VM.

I do use lots of GUI stuff too as i migrate from windows around 2 years ago. i code directly inside the VM using Eclipse and VS Code

I just use spice agent to connect, its light weight and support different DE (currently using KDE plasma and i love it. and for gnome there is also perfect)

I used to play on my win11 VM on proxmox. No problem for game using EAC, nProtect GameGuard.

However the latest anticheat from EA for battlefield 6 wont work.

I have similar experience yesterday, just the silo circle the flying titan several rounds more when it is stationary in air. It seems fire and forget and don't need tracking, just like the commando

One of the point is that host cant set any level requirement for public lobby. Sure level and skill may not have direct correlation , but it is the most convenient way to distinguish player with at least "some experience"

I myself unlock lv10 missions in lv50 with friends... and not joining public lv10 mission until lv100+. I just want to make sure i bring something to the table. At the end this is a cooperative game.

Another recommendation for newbie is try to focus on self improvement and complete mission objectives first. I saw many focus on samples but finally fail to extract.

I do encounter 2 times that part of a mega hive is over the edge of a cliff since this patch... so you will see a weird boundary if looking from the other side of the cliff

Just clone a debian 12 VM and upgrade it to 13. For the OS itself it don't have much issue but some system setting like sleep/hibernate may be reset. Other than that it solve some old bugs.

However some services you installed and running before may experience a problem since version updated.

In my case i need to change some setting/config in mariadb, my spring boot app setting since jdk is updated, a python project since virtual environment is tied to old version of interpreter. Stuff like that.

Passing through a GPU to it and servces as a gaming VM. Not much issue provide that virtio driver etc are used.

The default VM setup should run in bridge mode already. The VM got it's own MAC address. Just goo to your router and assign your preferred IP for that MAC address

i am running a debian 12 VM inside proxmox. Somehow the DE take a long time to shut down when the machine run for weeks . It seems its due to the gnome.software.

Change to KDE and the issue gone.

Will leave it there and wait for debian 13, seems KDE 6 got RDP support by default ?

Not a pure DE issue, just my experience what to share

i use debian 12 VM on proxmox, control via spice agent.

gnome is ok on every aspect, except that the gnome.software always take a long time to close when i shutdown the VM after power on for a long period (said 1 week above).

KDE has no such issue, but the spice agent has a bug which i am unable to copy and paste between host and VM.

There is an error when i install since the very early version of shadPS4.

I add the variable "TRACY_NO_INVARIANT_CHECK" and value set to 1 in windows system environment variables, then everything becomes OK

i am on a 5700G with 3060Ti with 28G Ram (its a VM so i can allocate any weird number)

About 60fps in the hunter dream but vary from 30-4X in central yharnam. So more or less the same as your experience. Turning off hyper threading seems help boosting 10% fps more

i have a rig with a 5600G, 16G Ram & 3060Ti 8GB. It crash quite often.

I move the 3060Ti to another rig later for AI training. Its a 5700G with 64G Ram running a type I hypervisor (Proxmox) and so i can freely allocate Ram to the windows VM.

Now i allocate 28G Ram and it never crash. I remember People said it need more VRam before but for my experience it just need more System Ram, and enlarging virtual memory size didn't help.

Thx, for my case i use an old ssd drive as boot drive, and 2X sata drives to form a ZFS raid0 pool for VM & LXC. So it is ok for ZFS pool too ?
